There's nobody more famous that Jesus Christ. He had more influence than any man in history, and almost everybody from every walk of life has heard of Him in one way or another.

Fame isn't always good. However, that's irrelevant to this subject. I just thought it was worth mentioning, because it's sad to see how facts can be twisted over time. I mean, 2000 years is a long time for many ideas to change from the canon.
In terms of being known, maybe he isn't isn't as known as Jesus, but he definitely had an impact on religion: Abraham. Abraham's father was Terah. I don't know about his mother. But he gave rise to Isaac and Ishmael (as well as others), which have impacted history very much. These gave rise to the Israelites and the Ishmaelites (Arabs), who up to THIS day still gain much attention. So in this case, it isn't so much the fame of one person, but rather the fame and impact of that one person on the world today.
Jesus did none-the-less impact us in manyh ways as well - be it constructive or destructive.

Jesus is only famous in the sense that people have heard of him. However, nobody knows what he looked like since there are no photos or videos of him. Nobody knows for sure what he said and did because the gospels contradict each other in their accounts of his life. And even the gospels dont discuss his life from age 13 to 30. If Jesus ever wrote anything, it is entirely unknown. So in a great sense, Jesus' fame is a very "virtual" fame, with significant aspects of his life that are the opposite of famous: unknown.
By contrast, the pop singer Madonna is instantly recognizable by her face and her voice to hundreds of millions (if not billions) of people world-wide. The mass media of our modern world have allowed her to communicate in her own words with her own voice via song, videos, books, movies, talk-show appearances, etc to more people each week than Jesus talked to in his whole life.
Madonna's parents are Silvio and Madonna Ciccone. She was born in Bay City, Michigan.

There is no one. Jesus is the only person who has changed so many lives and at the same time caused so much conflict in the time since His life. You know the reason? I'm not posting this question because I can answer it! It's because He's the only religious leader in all time that has claimed to be God. (Not Mohhamed, Buddha, Confucius)... and HE REALLY IS GOD! :)
