Ok first they are trying to get you to prove God's existence with scientific evidence that's like trying to prove english with math equations.
Anyway remind them that people could not PROVE there was such a thing as a SOUND BARRIER or at what speed it would take to break it, until we created the technology to do so. Scientist have not yet created the technology to prove either the existence or non-existence of God, therefore there is no argument. People did NOT believe the world was round either until the technology and tests were done to prove it.

No need to feel special about that. Nobody, in all of history, has ever succeeded in proving that god exists. The only way to believe in god is via 'faith'... in other words, wishful, magical thinking. The same reasons that children believe in the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy.
And just like the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy were lies, so is god... and for the same reasons.

It is not possible to prove either that God exists, or does not exist. Any theory either way is irrefutable: you could not prove it to be wrong, because there are no observable consequences. It can be proven that the predictive power of any theory derives exclusively from its refutablility, so no theory of God has any predictive power: all such theories are useless.
Catholic theologian Hans Kung, in a huge book [Doe God Exist?], came to the same conclusion by different means. He chooses to believe in God, simply because that is more compatible with his view of the world.

Maybe a good place to start, is to study Johannes Kepler. Check out the Harmonica Mundi, and other works. His work was the beginning of scientific method. Briefly, there are 5 and only 5 regular solids made up of {{regular faces}}, that can be {{constructed}}. These are (in no particular order) the cube, the icosahedron, the octahedron, the dodecahedron and the tetrahedron. Kepler discovered the correct ordering principle of nesting these solids within a series of concentric spheres, to define the orbit of the planets in our solar system. Kepler writes: "I do not wish to prove anything by the mysticism of numbers, nor do I consider it possible to do so" (author of the biography--) 'Man does not experience the many-sidedness of all possible geometrical forms by perception but, roused by his sensory perceptions, he finds them in his mind. (Kepler) "God wanted to make us recognize them, when he created us after His image, so that we should share in His own thoughts. For what is implanted in the mind of man other than numbers and magnitudes? These alone we comprehend correctly, and if piety permits us to say so, this recognition is of the same kind as the divine, at least in so far as we in this mortal life of ours are capable of grasping part of it...Geometry is one and eternal, a reflection out of the mind of God. That mankind shares in it is one of the reasons to call man an image of God"
Hope that helps!

Hebrews 11:1 "Faith is believing in what you hope for and trusting in what you do not see." Work on your answers for each individual situation, be patient and listen to who ever you are speaking to and believe that Christ loves this person and is trying to tell them this through you.
You are not the one to bring someone to Christ, it is God. Just politely and confidently defend your belief and allow God to water the seed planted. Or use you to do some watering. Unfortunately not everyone will believe, but love them none the less. You will see some in heaven that you don't expect to see.

You cannot bring up any scientific points to defend that god exists, because there are none.

Why should you defend your beliefs? How do you prove the existance of the devine spirit to someone who refuses to see the devine in every living being? Life itself is a miracle in all its glory, although not everyone sees it as such. That is why it is called faith. Do you have faith in yourself and your beliefs? If so, then there is no reason for defense.
Peace

It's not your responsibility to prove God exists or convince anyone.... they will reach it on their own = FREE WILL/UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
Science is more about tangibles / conditions / perceptions.
God is TRUTH = can't prove or disprove it.
HONESTY is a person's PERCEPTION of truth. To be honest, you have to let go of the fear of being mistaken....... A person can be honest and still be "wrong".
Here's something for you.......
Ever noticed you cannot SEE your own face?
Your reflection is not your actual face....
God is HOW you are able to recognize yourself.
Those old photos, where you forget everyone in them except yourself... God is HOW you are able to recognize yourself in them, even when your body looks different from that now and you've never actually seen your face for yourself to begin with.
God is HOW you are able to BE you..... you get to decide what you think that is.
Your body is WHAT you are IN, not WHO you ARE.
God is LOVE, TRUTH, JOY....... religion is humanity trying to explain God.
