South Korea is relatively safe, as safe as it could be as anywhere in the U.S.

Say if I asked the question, how safe is it in the U.S. How would you answer?

For example, I'm sure some parts of NY, NY aren't safe. Same with Seoul (the capital city). That doesn't necessarily mean that the entire country is unsafe.

If you are talking about war, there is currently no war going on in South Korea. It is definitely safer than Lebanon or Iraq.

It is a civilized country, and technologically advanced. It's not some third-world Asian country...

Korea's a great place to visit, lots of people visit for the food, scenery, culture, etc.

Hope that helps.
