You people who think badly of israel shouldnt (if your lebanese this doesnt apply to you cuz i would b pissd if someone bombed america) they are the only country besides america who has enough guts to fight back...If there is a war with iran which probly will happen, we will need israel. They had soldiers kidnapped and want them back to show terror organizations not to mess with them cuz that will happen. Its hezbolllas fault for the civilians deaths...they moved in to civilian neighborhooods with ammunition so its not israels fault for the deaths.Hezbolla is randomly shooting rockets into israel..thats horrible. Israel is cool on my watch and they can win this war and shouldnt be critisized by haters...hate on terrorist!!!!!!!!

You have no understanding of the cause of all this probably because all you have ever heard is the Israeli revisionist line. Israel is NOT protecting itself from Hezbollah, it is trying to destroy the entire area of Lebanon and Hezbollah makes as good an excuse as any. In case you do not know, Hezbollah was formed in 1982 as a response to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, and since then the Israelis have learned nothing. The Israelis continue to do everything wrong in terms of finding a lasting peace because the last thing Israel wants is peace.

It is curious that what Israel calls "terror" when directed aginst it from the outside is what Israel calls "self defense" when Israel directs the same towards its neighbors.

Hezbollah is, among other things, a national resistance movement seeking to end Israeli occupation of Arab lands. Hezbollah is seeking to get Israel out, and as you say, nothing wrong with that.

If you study the history, and NOT the Israeli version, you will find that Israel, by its own acts, created the hatred that is directed against it today. in 1948 alone, the jews destroyed over 400 Arab villages and towns, killing or driving the inhabitants off the land.

There are some people and some countries who see Israel's attacks agains Hezbollah as self defense - rightfully so, Israel must defend its citizens from the thousands of missiles Hezbollah has pointed at it.

The underlying issue however is that there are many people and countries that are antisimitic. ALL OF THE ARAB COUNTRIES ARE ANTISIMITIC.
I don't care what you see on the politically correct news channels, but, the truth is, every Arab country in the region wants nothing more than to "push Israel into the sea"...word's spoken by Arafat and quoted by a number of Arab leaders.

Many people besides Arabs hate Jews and they recognize Israel as a front to steal land and oil from Arab lands.
This is most likely untrue, but the problem is, people don't care about the truth...they merely want to justify their convictions.

No one cares that the Arabs kidnapped Jewish soldiers.
No one cares that the Arabs are blowing themselves up with suicide vests in Israeli markets.

Jeremy Paxman (a renowned British Television Journalist, for those of you who don't know) summed it up perfectly last night. He said (and I paraphrase) 'So, isn't this like if two of our Soldiers were killed in Northern Ireland (which they commonly were), we had carpet bombed Belfast?'. There have now been hundreds of innocent Lebanese Civilians killed. There are Terrorists ALL over the World. In your country, and in mine, and I am prepared to bet that I have been closer to a terrorist bomb than you have, as I work in London, but let's get a grip here. This is about a MASSIVELY overblown reaction by the Israelis. This is not about one Army fighting another, this is about one country which is backed by the West, murdering the civilians in another. I think you need to read up a little more...no..alot more...before you start hate campaigns about matters which you don't understand. there is a usual double standard which imposes a higher expectation on israel of behavior. israel can't use its force but is supposed to sit there and take it when people who have a declared state of war (yes, lebanon still does not recognize israel and has been in a state of war since 1948, and hezbollah is a part of the lebanese govt) and who are driven to destroy the whole country, attack. not quite fair.

I don't either, but I hope israel destroys them!! That is the only country i think America should support they r the only country that likes us. Canada doen't even like us. i spent three days there hangin with the locals and trust me they don't care for us at all. I only know a handful up there and those few kept me safe. Glad to be back on my own turf. unfortunatly it doesn't feel that safe here either. Too many people here willing to defend other nations and groups but criticize our own.
