The disciples actually thought the end of the world would start within their lifetimes. If the "signs" are interpreted in the context of the time Revelations was written, it is a much better fit to the events of those times: The persecution of Christians by the Roman Empire, then the Roman adaption of Christianity by Rome, and finally the fall of the Empire.
Ever since then, preachers have been claiming the current world situation matches the signs in the Bible. Hasn't been true any time in the last 2000 years!
Still, I wouldn't worry about it much. Even if you believe in the "instant rapture" heresy invented in the 19th century, you would still have many years to repent and reform before the end. If you still didn't believe even after all the "saved" disappeared all over the world at once, then you would have to be pretty darned stubborn!

yes but you need to understand that the battle of Armageddon is after the great tribulation which is 7 years long..
The war we are having now is leading up to Armageddon, and it looks like this MIGHT be the one that moves the power structure to Europe from the US. This has to happen first. Israel is the key to everything. All of the prophecy is about them and their existance.
We expect that the true christians will eventually be taken off of the earth at the beginning of the Great Tribulation. I truly feel that this war is going to provoke the setup for the start of the Great Tribulation and the end of this period is the battle of Armageddon when Jesus personally returns to the earth.. Be prepared for what is coming by being saved and living in the will of God. I believe that peace is being taken from the earth.
Rev 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

In Ezekiel, chapter 38, there's a war that's talked about which is going to start us on the road to the end times. What's going to happen is that Russia is going to supply arms to Persia, which is today Iran. Russia, Iran and an Arab coalition are going to attack Israel according to Ezekiel. The description sounds like a nuclear war. It says that the skin will melt off the bodies, and the eyes will melt out of the head, before the skeletons hit the ground. The invading forces will be multi-millions, and 83% of them will be destroyed. After the war, it will be seven months before the bodies are buried, and then only by specially trained professionals in special suits. Are the bones maybe radio-active? The weapons of war will be burned to provide fuel for seven years. What else other than nuclear material can provide fuel for that period of time.
No country is going to help Israel, probably because the Rapture will take place right before the war, and no one will be able to help.
Following the war, the destruction will be so great, it will bring to power the Anti Christ, who will say he's trying to bring peace to the world.
This will bring about the seven years of Tribulation, after which Christ will return, and the war of Armageddon will be fought.
So to answer your question, we are at least seven years away from Armageddon.

NO! Regardless of what all those extremists waving bibles around are saying, we are not. Mankind is going to be around for a very long time.
What most of these people forget is history. Many times in past history people have thought the world/humanity was going to be destroyed because of terrible disasters, wars and catastrophes but, it never happened. There were times in history that were so bad, it makes today's problems seem trivial and when it was over, what was left of humankind picked up the pieces and pushed forward, progressing to newer heights and making possible what scientific advances we have today.
There will always be those greedy for power who seek to destroy, there will always be natural disasters but also there will be the dreamers, the builders who will be there when the conflicts and destruction are over and done with and they will make continuing and growing possible.

Events are happening just as predicted in the Bible. The culmination of these is the famed battle of Armageddon which will precipitate the bodily return of Jesus. You need to look up some of the websites of Hal Lindsey, Jack Van Impe and others who have studied this many years.

Here's the good news, "your Armageddon comes when you breath your last in death." The Armageddon that was mentioned in the Bible was true but the time is unknown to any human. People has misunderstood and misreprensented it out of passin and zealounsess. They assumed God and are leading people astray.

We are closer to Armageddon every day but I couldn't tell you if it's next week or in a hundred years. If I were a betting person I would bet on inside of a hundred years but since "no man knows the day or the hour". I would not venture to be more specific.

What is Armageddon? That's part of the joke! No such thing, the only true coming of age is in the bible. Nothing has been said exactly when time will end. Go ahead asks any pastor, they will not find it in the bible. Only according to his plans, he knows when and we will not know. It is not a game, it is time of his plans for his purpose in order to end all evil.

There was the industrial age, then the information age, and now we are heading into the age of enlightenment. The world is going to realize that we are all sons and daughters of the One True Consciousness, slowly at first, and rapidly at the end. The possibility of overcoming death was shown to us by Jesus. One major misconception is that we have to die and rise again as He did. This is not true. He did that in order to get his message across. We can over come death simply by having life everlasting.

Actually, Armageddon is the place in which Jesus' army gathers for the final battle (It may not actually be Jesus', you will have to check Revelation to make sure). No one knows, so there is no point in trying to predict it. Just go on about your business and live the best life you can.
