Government regulates immigration but it is compassionate enough to give free services. English is not required but only an advantage. You cannot force anybody to speak it because it is freedom.

When you take into account education and other services that are funded for the poor by those who aren't poor, even if they paid all taxes poor immigrants are a net drain on our economy. It is only if you DON'T take that into account that they benefit the economy. There may be specific areas like the H2 agricultural seasonal workers where a case can be made due to lack of ready workers, but that does not apply to hospitality and construction, or fast food restaurants, for some examples.

There are reasons why every developed country in the world limits immigration of poor people. You can't have both subsidized services and unlimited immigration.

Beyond the cost in money, the degraded services like education are unacceptably impacting our own people.

I think it is a travesty that we have fallen so far to the left that we have become afraid to enforce our own rules. An American doesn't pay his taxes and he goes strait to jail, an illegal does it and the whole onslaught of bleeding hearts come running to the rescue. It used to be that you learned a second language in school, namely french, as a convenience because it is such a widely spoken language used in the world. Now you must learn Spanish if you want to know what California is saying. Our country was founded on pure courage, we need to stick out our big American balls and show some again.

English should be learned. Everyone else does. Healthcare should be available to ALL regardless of status. Taxes? Well, if they get a paaycheck, then they are paying taxes most of the time. Unless they have a valid number, they can't file a return and get them back. Also, if employers woulnd't hire them, they wouldn't come here. I don't know but I would guess that the majority are working for larger companies. It's outsourcing in reverse.

quite some our ancestors did not study English in the adventure that they were the immigrants. Their toddlers did. The production facility foremen had to study particularly Italian or German or Greek or perhaps with the certainty that changed into the appropriate language for his or her floor of the generating facility. the first newspaper record of the announcement of Independence changed into in German, no longer English, because in Philadelphia in 1776, German changed into spoken about as a lot as Spanish is in l. a. at present. If toddlers born and raised interior the U. S. aren't from now on talking English fluently by using the age of 6 or 7, then we've a severe difficulty, yet when those who've moved right here, and perchance purely plan to stay for decades do not study English, i do not fairly see that as a difficulty. The Pew center estimates that the ordinary unlawful immigrant continues to be for more effective or less 3.5 years earlier returning homestead - for the human beings who do not plan to stay interior the country lengthy time period, i don't think of there is fairly a want for them to study English. I lived (legally) interior the Netherlands for 2 years and discovered almost no Dutch, and under no circumstances were given the impact that anybody there changed into bothered by using attending to speak English with me. and obviously it truly is a severe challenge even as all and sundry, immigrant or no longer, criminal or no longer, is committing crimes. i'm quite professional-immigration, interior the experience that i imagine criminal immigration quotas must be stronger, because human beings are going to come back anyhow, and we ought to keep song of them. however, i imagine that if an unlawful immigrant is arrested for against the law, he ought to by using default be considered a flight possibility and held without bail, then, if convicted, he ought to serve his sentence then be deported.

Get your facts right!! To become a citizen, you must pass an english proficiency test. They do get taxes taken out of their checks but don't receive any tax money back, which means billions for the government. It is immoral to deny anyone medical care, regardless of their status. I agree on one thing, immigrants of any status SHOULD learn to speak english in order to defend themselves and prosper.

We shouldn't give illegals anything ... because technically speaking they are not here ... :) We don't need them for our economy at all .. that's another fallacy and I have yet to see one pro illegal posting links to prove otherwise ... the fact is that greedy corporations who have bought up our administration want cheap labor ... heck, if they could bring back slavery they would ... they want more profit, but the buggers don't reduce prices ... so the extra profits go where? You got it ... into their own pockets ... I'll say one thing for this administration though ... they're very loyal ... once bought, they stay bought ....
