don't worry i don't think you're scary looking but next time wear a really scary mask, and after she gets scared take it off and maybe she'll realize that you look a whole lot better than the mask...MUAHHH BABY!!!!

To a little kid I could understand being terrified. It's very awkward for a child to see an adult with hair on the bottom of their head and none on the top. My suggestion is when you go to visit wear a fun shirt, a hat that balances things a little better and talk to the child like she is your friend. You have a bit of a challenge winning her over but at 3 years old you'll do fine. Have fun you'll end up with a new little friend.

It may be the beard.
You also look like a person not to be messed with, so you may be giving off an intimidating vibe. Not that you are mean, but children pick up on a person's energy, and because they are still children they just do not know how to process or articulate those emotions. The child may have also been confused by
"long hair on chin - no hair on head".

If you look real different from what her image of men is then yes, you look scary. Lots of kids that age are scared of their uncles, especially if they have facial hair, piercings, tatoos, etc. or are big and loud. She'll get over it if you hang around more and work on her gently and over time. Good luck.

Don't take it personally. If she hasn't seen you in a while or doesn't know you kiddies will react in different ways. Some will be shy, some will cry, some will have a tantrum, others will scream. Because her dad really doesn't know his child he said what he said to you for what he thought might be his reason for his child to scream.

Its the beard...ya its kinda scary looking. It just could be shortened by like half. However don't feel you HAVE to for anyone. Be yourself if you want and tell everyone else to go somewhere.

Dude, you kinda look like Im-ho-tep from the old Mummy movies. It's the goatee. Just go around her more and she'll get used to you.

No, at least from your avatar you do not look scary. You look a bit like a goat but I've never been scared by goats.
