Best approach is to go on-line and find a guide that you can look at. Or try the library for a book or your local bookstore, but if that's out here is an attempt to explain.

Take three small bunches of hair at the start of your hairline at your forehead as if you are going to do a regular braid. Start one crossover as if you are going to do a reguler braid...before you start the next crossover add a bit more hair to each of the side bunches and then cross them over each other one time....Again before you do the next crossover, gather up a little more hair in each side bunch of hair and then crossover again one time.

You repeat this process until you have all the hair gathered up into the braids.

Wet hair is easier to braid, especially if your hair is thin or fine.

Use your thumbs to gather up little snatches of hair to add to the side bunches.

Pull the braid as tightly as you can stand it to get a good tight look.

Smooth hair added to each batch as you braid to keep it neat looking.

Use hairspray when you're done to keep strays from popping out of the braids.

Practice on a doll for awhile and don't think you will get it right the first time. It takes practice.
