Isn't it true that the Koran existed as a recited tradition and it is only after the death of Mohammed that it was collected in a book form? Please see http://www.derafsh-kaviyani.com/english/uthman&therecensionofthekoran.html.

The book doesn't go in a chronological way.
I mean God didn't send the messages like ''Ok write now, section 1 verse 1....''
It is finished with the loss of Muhammed (pbuh).
And until it's finished his followers memorized them and some of them were written on rocks and leather.
It is not wise to collect the book before it's finished i guess

yes, that's correct. it was compiled after his death, because so long as he was alive they had a....... how should i put this?......"walking Quran". they needed a book after because they realized that the people who had memorized the Quran (hafiz) were getting killed. then they deciced they needed a written record of the Quran. but any mistake is impossible. because the Prophet's best friends and companions were there and were excellent hafiz. all the hafiz present had memorized the same thing so its impossible if all the companions present made the SAME EXACT mistake. they were all devoted to their religion, anyways,so they were very careful.

the Quran was recited by trusted witness by putting specific chapters in order as Muhammad commanded them to do. so any mistake can be seen easy.

Yes and most of that was compiled by Osman. So what's your point? That link isn't working.

not true, the Quran was written down, all of it, but it was bundled into one book after the death of the Prophet (PBUH).
