I'm proud that I can think for myself and follow my own sense of morality without needing to pray to the invisible man in the sky for guidance. I'm also proud that I can read a science book without having my psyche shredded by the truth inside.

reasons:
1. I will not decieve myself in believing that god.
2. I am not delusional.
3. I am idealistic
4. I will try to solve problems and not add to the problem itself
5. I can use my senses
6. I can think for myself
7. in believing god you lose free will.
8. praising what you cant see is ridiculous
9. religion is the problem worldwide.
10. god is a hypocrite
11. so many contradictory statements in the bible
12. I am not living in a world of lies

A better question is why do most of the Atheist in YA complain about Christians "shoving" our beliefs down their throats, but yet every other question is from an Atheist doing the same exact thing. Talk about a Hypocrite. Let everyone believe what they want to...and drop it.

You bring up a lot of really good points. I am an athiest, too, mostly because of reason number 5. I like to feel comfortable knowing that when I die, it's over. I feel sorry for people who have to wonder if they're going to heaven or hell, when they won't be going to either.

What is the truth then?
Can you totally disprove everything in the Bible?
Can you disprove God and Satan?
Can you disprove why the Jewish people are God's choosen?
Can you disprove the Ark of the Covenant?
Can you disprove the Crucifixion?
Disprove angels and demons.
Disprove Good and Evil.

ah...i cant wait to see how proud you'll be when the day comes and you will be left behind....just because you don't believe in God does NOT mean He doesn't exist. i could say that i dont believe in air, but that doesnt keep the air from existing.
