Play fighting for one may differ from others. I assume you were using this as a flirty way to make contact without be sexually overt. Boys have been rough housing for most of their lives. I suggest you explain the rules before you start next time. Tickling, pinning one to the floor and exchanging promises to get out of a hold are OK. One out of two falls or anything that hurts is not. Have fun!!!

You should break up with him. I was with a guy like that. Believe me, if he thought I hit him too hard, I got hit back. Unfortunately, I also learned that this man didn't think it was wrong for a man to hit a woman "if she puts herself in a mans place." Guys like this never change. If you can't get yourself to break up with him right now, then before you go through months or years of pain and bruises tell him it stops or the very next time, you break up. Then, stick to it. If he hits you like that again, end the relationship.

Hit him back & watch him Cry!
Careful, alot of play fighting has no play to it, but rather a convienant excuse to not take a consequence for it.
If you believe he over extended his boundaries I would not see him anymore, that's how most abusive relationships start. I've had experience there.
Me & my hubby play fight, & play wrestle all the time, but theres never any ? to how hard cause it's not supposed to be hard it's supposed to be PLAY!!

Stop him right there. Ask him if he knows how hard he hit you.
If there is even the SLIGHTEST chance he did it on purpose - get out now!!!!
I would be very leary of seeing him again. Abusers have been known to start out "just playing." And, they DON'T change - not without serious counseling. So,
Please BE CAREFUL!!

Tell him it was too hard. Some guys naturally hit hard when playing.

It depends on his reaction when he hit you. Was he apologetic or was he playing it off like it was no big deal?
If he was really sorry and sincere about it then I would probably let it slide...THIS TIME!
If he was playing it off then I would wonder if he actually meant to do it that hard. I'd be very wary of him.

He may not realize that he hit you too hard. Just be honest and tell him he hit you too hard. If after realizing he hit you too hard he is not sincerly apologetic or if he does it again then you should seriously consider not seeing him anymore.

You can tell him it hurt and not to hit so hard, or take it and fight back.
