Well if any of the names he was calling out give him a fight it would be the clincher. He has called out Maywhether and Hatton. I was trying to think of another candidate...maybe Jermaine Taylor will be a candidate if he fights another big name this year but I think Baldomir is a better choice out of the two so far. Pacman is always an option too after he beats "El Terrible" again. I'm trying to remember which fights were this year and which ones were last year :o) I think you are right so far Baldomir is the man though.

I'm not sure on this one, i really think they will give it to the Pacman (as long as he beats Morales in Nov), Hes already beat Morales and Larios this year who are obvious top contenders in his division. Baldomir i know has beat Zab and Gatti in their own backyards but i didn't rate either as top contenders anymore in the Welterweight division (that's only my opinion) and i think he will come unstuck in his next fight against either Mayweather, Hatton, Margarito, or even Mosley, I just think hes too straight forward to me, he didn't look anything special against Gatti he just overpowered a man who shouldn't of been fighting at Welter anyway and when or if he comes up against for example Margarito theres no way that will happen. My prediction is he will lose his next fight and Pacquiao will get the fighter of the year. Again its only my opinion and i doubt everyone will agree.

Baldomir would have to fight Mosley or Mayweather or Margirito. Margirito would be the easiest fight. because floyd beat Gatti just as bad if not worst and floyd is a boxer as well a Mosley who Ko'd Vargas in the sixth.

Baldomir doesn't need to fight anybody he is already fighter of the year....now its his turn for someone to go to his backyard like he did when he fought Judah and Gatti...the man deserves it.

I would say if he beats Margarito or Hatton he is a shoe in!
However, there is a lot of year left and if Mosley somehow fights and beats mayweather or hatton, he could be the guy!
Right now I would say Hopkins may have the edge with the upset and retirement!

Did you know that for a while in the mid-80s, former DALLAS star Patrick Duffy trained to be a boxer? He gave it up to star in the TV movie UNHOLY MATRIMONY.

Nothing, he's earned it already beating Gatti and Judah in their backyards.
