No, the bad thing would be if you didn't support her while she is deployed. Right now she needs you to be strong, safe, and GOOD. The last thing she needs is to be is worried about her family when she is surrounded by heavy machinery, in a foreign land, dealing with stressful situations on a daily basis. Give her the peace of mind to concentrate on what she is doing. Help her by making sure you are creating positive news to send to her. It is time for you to grow up a little, and stop thinking about yourself.

Not bad, just sad. It's sad that you have to go through it, but it helps in the long run. I'm used to my husband leaving all the time, it's still not easy, but it's not as hard as it used to be.
Just think, it will make you more adaptable as an adult as well. Your experiences now will help you be able to cope and adjust to many more things that life throws at you than someone who's lived a "perfect" and sheltered life.

It just depends, does it make u sad? Always keep her in your prayers. My dad has been deployed for a long periods of time and sometimes sometimes i get sad and stuff but then i know he'll return home.

no it just means you have learned good coping skills. Along with your coping skills though comes the acceptance that it's not always going to be OK with you that she is gone.

I don't think that you ever get used to it, you still miss miss her and worry about her, you just learn how to cope with it.
