Many times, one will ask a question simply because they are curious, or they are wondering how other people feel about a certain matter. Sometimes people will respond with something like, "I have a personal relationship with God, and it's sad that you don't." Oh please! Just because we are asking questions doesn't mean we don't know God. Most of the people on this board are very secure in their spiritual beliefs. How come when someone asks a question about religion, some people assume they are spiritually lost?

For the most part, a lot of the questions on here are really good. However, when someone constantly floods this section with hateful remarks about religion or that we christians believe in sky daddy it just gets a little rediculous and sometimes people feel the need to defend their religion. It has nothing to do with being either secure or insecure about a religion.

Because religion tends in most instances to be a right brain collection of images and impressions that supposedly solve the riddle of the universe.

Most of us don't have the RAM to work it out for ourselves, so we buy a 'Package" which comes wrapped in the name of some religion. One may keep the programs of the parents, or choose another, etc. But at the end of the day, if you think it out for yourself, you will have a religion quite unique to yourself.

The reason most religious folk are judgemental about your condition, is that if you don't have the complete set of answers as per a package, then you must be deficient somehow. Religious people don't ask many question, owing to the fact they think they already know.

Oh well!

hahahaha. You know what? Sadly enough, your right. I guess a Christians are instantly if not sooner blessed with all knowledge. right?

Even man himself, starts a child out in the first grade and goes forward.

Whoa............Did I say, man is smarter than Christians?

hmmmmmmmmm....nah. Surley I didn't say that.

God says: You are a "Babe" in Christ, you eat of spiritual manna.

Hey, come to think of it, maybe I did say some men is smarter than some Christians.

Bummer.

Have a great week. You ask all the questions you want too. SOMEone, will tell you the Truth. Don't let the lies upset your day. Have fun and rejoice in Christ.

Remember back in grade school when we used to learn about our classmates by asking ordinary questions.

what's your favorite color?
how many brothers and sisters do you have?
do you like country music or gangster rap?
What's your favorite food.

people who assume you're lost-or at least not saved- may be doing so because they are too lazy to ask. Or maybe they are just doing all the proper little Christian rituals- a class at my church actually instructed on asking the above ordinary questions.

I think people who don't ask questions about God may not really know Him. How could they if they didn't ask Him what His favorite color was?

Add a few more details. There are the lost in here. Yahoo is a big place. People all are coming from different places in Patience and understanding when they question and answer in here. Try not to be insulted if they can't read between the lines.

May the peace of Christ which surpasses all understanding guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus

Indeed. There are no lost sheep if 1/100 which was lost is found. Not to mention the 99/100 did not need to repent. Neither are there any lost sons if the one of two sons lost(dead) is found(alive). So the whole lost scenario is not even biblical. So let us move on, go on unto perfection, endure unto the end, do the end run along with patience, for AD-> only goes one way to the end:

The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I've asked that question IRL in the past and the answer I received is a person who is spirituality sound does not have any questions or doubts. I was also told it was a sin to question God or priests. In my family, we were slapped and hit for asking ANYTHING about religion, sprirituality or the Bible. We were told to just memorize it and repeat it without hesitation.

When people come onto this site and ask honest questions I think they get some pretty darn good answers. It's when they come on and call us stupid for believing the way we do, or insult us in some other way with the way they write their questions, this is when they get it back I guess.
Nobody minds a good question, and a honest one, it's the anger and condescending that is awful.

Because of their own true ignorance. If they were spiritually strong they would be answering questions with answers from God's word the Bible.

Some people are quite foolish, myself I am a believer and i question allot of things only with questions can you get answers. But also you must question the answers to the questions.
