But you absolutely can know the answer and be sure of it. The Bible talks about heaven and the Bible talks about hell. John 14:6 has Christ talking saying, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man (not anyone) comes to the Father (God) except by me." You can have all the religion or spirituality in the world. But Christ says that the only way to get to His father in heaven is through what he did at Calvary for us. It is open to everyone who will receive it.

Her body goes into the ground like most others do. In Christianity, there is Paradise and Hell which are like the waiting rooms for the eternal (never ending) realities. If she believe in Jesus Christ as her savior and repented of her sins, her soul would be in Paradise. If she didn't, her soul would be in Hell. When the end of the world comes upon us, those in Paradise and those that are livinf Christians get new bodies and go to Heaven. Everyone else ends up in the lake of fire.

Not all religions believe that there is a heavan and a hell. Ther is purgatory for some etc.... I don't have a religion, I have a relationship with my Savior. It would depend on if your Grandma accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and gotten saved.Your Grandma could be in either. I am sorry to say that, but that is the truth. :(

Because there is a heaven and a hell. Scientifically, we go 6 ft under the ground when we die. Spiritually, we live on for eternity in the afterlife that we have created for ourselves through our doings on earth.

The body returns to dust, The spirit will remain asleep until it is called by Christ. If our physical bodies return to dust then in essence we are still a part of this world. There are many beliefs. Reincarnation for instance. But every single time you think of your grandma, for that brief instances she is alive in your heart and mind.
Can you think of a better place for her to be?

Well if you like the notion of reincarnation... personally I do. Every atmaan (soul) is reborn until they have achieved enlightenment on earth. Only then can one move on to be with God though this has never been defined as heaven as far as I know.

Catholics believe in another place called purgatory where people who die in a sinful state without having committed a serious sin go to have their souls washed clean before meeting God in heaven.

I don't believe in heaven and hell. I believe when people pass on they go West. No I don't mean they go to California or something. They go to where the land is fertile and beautiful.

Yeah, nobody really does know and we all seem to have different beliefs about it. Perhaps just be satisfied to have known and loved her and you by her. Celebrate her life and cherish your memories of her - share them with the others in her life.
