What do you see when you close your eyes? Do you see Jesus? Do you see what could be God? Do you interpret your imagination to be a valid representation of God? Do you wish you were someplace, anyplace then in church praying? Do you think about your to-do list? Do you make a mental note of who may be watching you as you close your eyes? Do you cry when you close your eyes? Why? Who is it that is praying when you are in church, the minister/pastor/priest or another member of the congregation? Do you think God hears your prayers when you have been sinful and unrepentant? Wow... I'm having way too much fun with this.

Sometimes I close my eyes. I pray alot at home and then it varies. I pray on my knees, walking around even laying in bed. Yes once in a while my mind wanders and I think about my laundry, etc. Sometimes I cry when I think about my life before I was saved and I am overwhelmed and thankful for the new opportunities I have now. Most of the time at my church it is a minister that prays, but sometimes it is a member of the congregation. Yes God hears our prayers as long as we are his. He already knows when we are unrepentative and defiant.
I tell God when I am mad or upset. I keep it real. Does that answer your questions?

Sometimes I close my eyes and sometimes I don't when I pray. I could care less who is watching me when I pray. Sometimes I cry when I pray and sometimes I don't. I am the one who I concern myself with when praying in church, everybody else has to work out their own salvation. Yes, I believe God hears your prayers when you have been sinful and unrepentant, but he does not forgive those sins until you are repentant and ask for forgiveness.

Not very often actually, and then only to tune out my surroundings and focus more on the Lord(or if instructed to so by the leader). To hear His voice, or concentrate on the prayer being prayed or the scripture being read.

I think for most people it's a focus thing, they don't want to be judging the micro mini skirt in the row in front of them while concentrating on God(or if your a guy imagining whats underneath the micro mini skirt! LOL)

Most of the time I close my eyes just so I can go to a more peaceful place to pray but sometimes if I'm on the beach or in some other beautiful place...a church or especially outdoors...I will look to the sky and heavens and pray...it's more spiritual that way I think...Christ will usually enter my mind...because he is who I pray to...I just like to talk to him like a normal person...like what's been going on in my life and my problems...even though He already knows he likes to hear it from me personally...At night when the stars are bright and my half of the earth is quite...I like to look to the sky and speak to Him...I feel like I can hear Him better and be closer to Him without the daylight and all the noise.
God bless you

I pray alot when i am driving down the road. I don"t think it would be a good idea to close my eyes while doing that, but anywhere else i do close my eyes.No matter where i pray, God hears all prayers.

Not Always I pray walking and even when I'm with a bunch of people and they never know. Its a spiritual conversation with Jesus. We are not to make a spectacle of ourselves when we pray. We should go find a quiet place if possible. The Pharisees made a big production when they prayed to appear holy and to draw attention to themselves We are not to do that.

When I pray, I pray. Down on my knees(sometimes) or just sitting in a chair or what have you, with hands clasped, head bowed and eyes closed. I only think of praying and thats all

Nope! When my ancestors closed their eyes to pray they opened them to find that the land had been fenced off and they were no longer in control of their homes and it was all downhill from there.

It depends upon my environment. If I am driving, my eyes are open, otherwise, they may be closed or open, just depends. And yes, if I am overwhelmed with emotion I may cry.
