Would you sacrifice yourself to protect a stranger? Do you hold the life of your spouse and your children above your own? Do you love your country and would you die to defend its values? Do you respect and uphold the freedoms of America by never taking its name in vaine? What have you done to prove your honor to the people of the world? Can anyone answer these truthfully? If you can you are truly honorable and we should all learn from you. Please rebuke my question people.

I do fell honored in living here, being born here, even just simply eating here and become part of the most powerful military in the world because after tech college I'm joining the U.S Air Force as an officer. Military runs in the family
I don't know you as much but you seem like a person of high morals and standards, a born leader or some sort.
Something that I'm practicing to become.

First of all, everyone seems to forget that America and its people are the children of every other country on this glorious planet.
Everything that we do, and everything that we are we have learned from our parents.
It is usually customary to hear good parents say things like,
"I only want the best for my child." or "I want my child to have everything that I couldn't." But when it comes to America the world is critical and unforgiving. Remember, the most important part about parenting is being able to love your child unconditionally.
I am extremely proud to be an American and yes I do love my country very much. I believe in my heart that America has achieved its power and success by hard working, honorable men and women. People who care about the quality of life, not the almighty dollar. People who understand that in order to be successful you have to be able to see the whole picture, and decide accordingly. The kind of people that honor, integrity, and genuine concern for others are the fundamental characteristics that drive them, and inspire them.
So with that in mind, it is quite easy for me to say "YES!!" absolutely, I would die to defend its values and its people.
I have not had my opportunity to prove my honor to the people of the world yet, but I think of how I will everyday of my life. I pray for the chance to make a difference, and to show to the rest of the world that America is a wonderful place, filled with wonderful people, doing wonderful things.

The only thing that makes you honorable is to follow your own code of right and wrong.
Being American has nothing do do with it.
Lets say the American ethic is baseball, motherhood, and apple pie.
I like apple pie if it has the crumbly top, or next best, latticework. I think Motherhood is stupid, and I hate baseball.
If I avoid stupid women, eat only the kind of apple pie I like, and refuse to watch baseball, then I am still an honorable American.
If, however, I pretend to like baseball, falsely praise motherhood, or eat apple pie with a crappy crust, or in any other way am untrue to what I believe, than I am not an honorable American, just another butt-kissing slave trying to fit in.
THe same goes pretty much the same for any person in any society. Only the individual circumstances vary.

I've thought extensively on whether I would die for my country or not (trying to decide if I would join the armed forces). There are many things - especially from the most recent years - that I do not agree with but in which my country has gotten involved. I still think that I would die for my country. I would not die for my president or because I believe that Iraq does have WMD, but because I believe in my country and if my country needs people to fight for the ultimate cause, I believe that I would answer that call.
