It depends. What does the composition of the diet look like? The body can convert any of the basic food sources into fat for storage using different metabolic pathways. The easiest to convert would be trans fat, followed by carbohydrates, followed by protein, in terms of energy cost vs. storage of the cell. If you eat too much of anything, the body will increase fat storage using what's available, no matter what it is.

everything eventually will turn into fat if it is not burned. The extra fat on your back or stomach is turned from un-used calories. So make sure you burn the calories you consume.
1g carb=4 cal
1g protein=4 cal
1g of fat=9 cal
