It is a wager made in golf that consists of three bets- Best score out, best score in and best overall total. It is a very common bet in social golf matches.

That is correct, but if your not used to links termanology.. Going out means the Front 9 and back in Means the Back 9.. For a $5 Nassau bet, here are some examples:

You 39 - 41 = 80
Him 40 - 40 = 80

You win the front, he wins the back and tie the overall - No money changes hands.

You 41 - 40 = 81
Him 42 - 40 = 82

You win the front , tie the back and you win the overall - You win $10

You 39 - 39 = 78
Him 41 - 42 = 83

You win all three bets - You win $15
