Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla, maybe 2-3 years old, low mileage, with warranty. Very reliable cars, excellent gas mileage and will serve you well. Best to get a car with multiple types of airbags and ABS or traction control

A reliable and safe car... go for small compact car tat has about 100 plus bhp... tis shld be okay for first timer... probably you can have an auto trannny if you wan... after you gained more experience and confidence on the road... you can always change to a bigger car with larger engine capacity if you can fork out those extra bucks... drive safe and God bless you...

Something cheap and safe. Like a llittle, used, japanese car. So even you scratch it or even total it, it won't hurt that much to get another one. However, do not buy a car that has any mechanical problems. If not, you will have a nightmare that you never can wake up from!

A midsize sedan. Buick Regal or Mazda Millenia, dependable and with space. Do not buy a very fast car until you learn how to drive properly.

I agree with first answer. Nice used Toyota (anything BUT a Cressida or Land Rover) or Honda.

Safe, fuel efficient and very dependable.
