Charlie...there's an old saying in our faith...

If I'm wrong and you're right, then I've really lost nothing.

But if I'm right and you're wrong...then you won't like what happens in the afterlife.

Let me put it in another context. We're all driving on a highway, and there are two ways to go at the end of the road. If you choose the wrong way, you end up driving off a cliff and hurting yourself (you can't stop or turn around on this road). The rest of us have seen the exit ramp that gets out of danger. If that road was real, should we just let you learn the hard way and get hurt because you don't believe it exists?

We say what we say to warn you and hopefully to help someone to choose the better alternative. It is your choice and I respect that choice.

But I'm also a helpful sort of person and don't like to see people hurt. So, I hope you can understand that we realize you think we're crazy or just deluded, but we still will care about your decision and hope we can change your mind.

By the way, if you don't like these questions and topics on this board, why come here? You have the option to ignore these questions and answers.

This is how much sense you make. WE KNOW the afterlife (and oxygen) are very real. It amazes us that you deny it.

Everyone faces four great questions in life:

1. Who am I? (What am I worth?)
Aethiest-nothing you are just some molecules that are arranged in a certain way that makes up your body.
2. Where did I come from?
We evolved from monkeys, which evolved from a rock soup.
3. Why am I here?
We are here to survive only. In fact, we should all die bcause our large body mass wastes energy and increases entrophy.
4. Where am I going when I die?
We will all decompose and become part of a plant or worm.

Tell me, how do you know it's fake? No one knows 100% unless you amazingly died and came back and able to say " I died and nothing happend". There is no proof that there is no God or hell, so how can you say that it is a myth, or a lie?? And since you dont know, why take the chance?Because if you were right, and we were wrong, oh well. But if we were right and YOU were wrong, its way worse than "oh well, " it's ETERNITY , and the reason we tell you about hell is not because we want to imtimidate you, its because we care about everybody and we dont think ANYBODY, no matter how bad or good they are, deserves to go to hell....

I must admit, that IS pretty foolish. You have to believe in hell to be afraid of it. It exists, though, perhaps not in the "fire and brimstone" way, but it does exist. However, threatening you with hell when you don't believe in it is rather silly. Let's you and I make an agreement: You believe what you want to believe and I'll believe what I want to believe and neither of us will try to convince or bully each other into believing what the other believes. Fair? I can't speak for the others, though.

Actually, if you are a true "atheist" you don't "know" anything of the kind. Your blind refusal to trust in nothing that you can't see with your physical eyes has left you in a tremendous "blind spot" of reason.

Your perception of the afterlife is void and empty, but you can't prove whether your choice of reality is true or not, not to me, not to anyone else, and especially not to yourself.

You have no foundation for existence, so you merely exist in a self induced (free will choice) vacuum.

When a "Christian" (or a Mormon or a Jehovah's Witness or anyone else) offers you a word of hope, they are trying to share some peace with you. I can't quite understand why some folks are so offended when someone is trying to share love with them.

Certainly, no one is making an overt attempt to "scare" you!

Perhaps, rather than listening to people who tell you that you are going to hell you should pay more attention to the ones who try to introduce you to the loving God that we know. We don't want you to go to hell, we want you to be saved. God is not about punishment, God is about forgiveness and salvation which are free to any who will accept them. I know that you probably think that I am delusional, and I know that I can't prove that He is there, but I will pray for you anyways.

Heaven is not an afterlife it's a rebirth into God's holy kingdom for all the believers. It's the realest thing out there. And whoever doubts the power and unlimited possibilities of God. believe what you will. Hell is real, it's for unbelievers!!

Hell is simply eternal seperation from God. Those who reject Him go where they've thought they wanted to all along.
It's too bad you cant talk about that "Hell myth" with those that have rejected God that have already died. You may get a different response.
