pay off all that you owe
get secure credit and charge it, make timely payments
it will take about 2 years to rebuild a history
start writing letters to clear up any paid off items that need to be paid off to remove negative credit
it will be a long process , there is no easy way to clean it up
those companies that promise settlement or to clear you record can't do anythnig for you
some even make your situation worse
only YOU can repair up your credit

I did this on my own before, but I don't no your situation, you first need ton start disputing some of the your late payment on your credit. You will need to write them all a letter and start disputing each one one at a time. This will work for small stuff but not to sure about the big things like BK and foreclosures

You might want to do some reading in the site I've linked.
