since both religions teach that homosexuality is an abomination to God.

Why do "gays" try to label us Christians as "homophobes" just because we believe that the word of God is true and that people who practice homosexual sex are committing a grave sin and are in danger of going to hell if they don't repent?

Christians don't want to see a homosexual go to Hell. We would like to see them repent and ask God for forgiveness so they can be reconciled to God.

The homosexual agenda is to be left alone by religious folks and to remove the discrimination inherent in religious attempts to turn the nation into a theocracy. Just because some people believe homosexuality is an abomination to a god they believe in doesn't mean that is actually true, nor does it give them the right to try to legislate their religion as the national standard for morality on the basis of threats and fears about a mythological "hell".

The agenda of the Religious Right is very clear. No one is to be permitted to do or be anything that contradicts what they decide is "moral" based on what they alone believe in.

The "homosexual agenda" is a myth. You shouldn't take anyone seriously who uses that term.

Gay folks don't care what christians do - gay folks care about what they're allowed to do with their personal lives. When christians try to interfere with that, THEN they have a problem. Just like all people who have their liberties threatened by another group.

Just because your religious beliefs promote a dislike of homosexuality does not mean that disliking homosexuality is okay.

Moreover, just as you don't want atheists trying to convince you that god isn't real, gay people don't want to hear about your religious beliefs as they apply to their lifestyle.

You may have genuine concern in mind, but remember: the road to hell is paved with good intentions. It's not okay to interfere with other people's lives merely because your religious beliefs cause you to think it's a good idea for the sake of their souls.

Before you worry about someone "Going to Hell" for being gay consider this:

In the grand scheme of things, you, me, and everyone else are basically specks of dust, riding on a larger piece of dust, around a medium sized star, which is orbiting a galaxy of similar stars that is so vast that light takes 100,000 years to cross it. This galaxy is one of over 100 billion galaxies just like it floating in the endless sea of space.

This brings two things to mind:

First: What makes anyone think that the force, being, or whatever created this vast sea of galaxies would give a big rat’s petoot if two people of the same sex wanted to have sex, live together, or get married?

Second: Just who does anyone think that they are to suppose that they know what the will of the creator of all this is? My goldfish knows more about the workings of a nuclear reactor than anyone on this planet knows about “God’s Will”.

Enough already!

The "chistian" community would cover a lot more ground in spreading the truth if they would stop saying "xxx is going to hell for xxx".

The only thing that will send ANYONE to hell is failing to trust in Jesus for salvation before the moment of death.

Rom 1:28 And because they did not think it worthwhile to have God in their knowledge, God delivered them over to a worthless mind to do what is morally wrong.
Rom 1:29 They are filled with all unrighteousness, evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, disputes, deceit, and malice. They are gossips,
Rom 1:30 slanderers, God-haters, arrogant, proud, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, and unmerciful.
Rom 1:32 Although they know full well God's just sentence--that those who practice such things deserve to die--they not only do them, but even applaud others who practice them.

Our job, as "Christians" is to tell everyone what we know to be true, NOT to condemn folks for their sinful acts. That job is reserved for God.

You obviously don"t understand that the bible was writtnen in a time when science hadn't discovered that we are born with our sexual orientation, rather than acquiring it. You cannot logically read the scriptures today in insolation from sicence, nor can you take one passage about one issue and hold it up and at the same time ignore others, such as not charging interest on a loan. What's at play is realy and truly selective reading of the texts rooted in this case in homofhobia, indeed.

The agenda is to make everything in this world "okay" and acceptable. We should be "tolerant" --well, the more people tolerate, the worse the world and the evil in it will become.
Christians should not judge people, but they should be judgemental of what their God says is right/wrong.
The reason people (liberals, mostly) don't like it is because it crimps their style of "if it feels good, do it." And that motto can lead to all sorts of wickedness....just watch...

Yes, gays are trying to take God out of things, because God doens't accept homosexuality. They simply want their own way regardless of what God thinks. In the end they shall have their way,but be in hell fo rit.

Sodomy and Christianity are so directly opposed that they can not live together. God created the family and all it stands for and sodomy is so contrary to that so they want to do away with Christianity..

Rev 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

Homosexuals that try to be "religious" are simply trying to find a way to circumvent the truth of God's word. People have tried to do that for ages.
