Because many of us are so enmeshed in our own spoiled little American lives and "family values" that all we can think about is how we are affected at the gas pump and how our pay checks may be impacted. Too, we are actually threatened by other religions. Its tragic to realize that on the other side of the world countless people are being killed and we can do nothing about it. Will we ever realize the importance of peace and love for others regardless of race, nationality, and religion? When will we learn to value all families as fellow members of the human race? Not in our lifetime, if ever.
