when you're physically and emotionally ready for it and you're ready to have a baby, if you're not ready to have a baby (and I mean READY, not just thinking you're ready because you want a baby and want someone to love and take care of, but financially and emotionally ready and capable of caring for a baby, most preferably when you're married and have a husband who can help). No matter how many precautions you take, it's possible to get pregnant. Nothing, and I mean nothing but abstinence is 100% effective in preventing pregnancy (or STDs for that matter). I personally don't think anyone under the age of 18 is ready to have sex and many 18-year olds aren't. It all depends on your relationship with the person you're going to have sex with and your and their maturity and readiness. It's best when you're in a committed relationship with that person, don't just do it because you're feeling pressured to by the other person or friends. Do it when YOU'RE ready. That's what matters.

When you feel you are ready to be a mother and the guy you are with will be a good father to the possible baby. If you are having sex, you are saying that you can support, love and care for a baby. If you don't want a baby yet, then don't have sex.

And don't make your parents support it.

Just the fact that you are asking this question tells me you are not ready to have sex. Wait a few years, hon.

no not until your over 16 at least wait and be in love with some you know over a year or more and know your gonna have a lot of crap to deal with after sex.... like mixed emotions, confusion, hormones raging, and of course BABIES..... and STD'S.....
now think and think hard about what your going to do and don't let some knuckle headed boy tell you "ANY AGE" because all the it thinking about is sex as well...

let's see....my sis started when she was 16...she is now 18...she is the mother of a 17 month old and a 4 month old...the 17 month now lives with the daddy....the 4 month old lives with me because she lost custody of both....so I would have to say...

If you aint married, have no job, have quit school, and can't support any kids that may come about from having the SEX, then wait wait wait until u r physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually ready, ready, ready.

Depends. Will your parents press charges? Do they know? Are you preventing pregnancy? STDs? Basically, if you aren't mature enough to ask your parents for an open discussion or at the very least so form of bc, your not old enough. P.S. If you had to ask someone else what any of this meant, keep your clothes on!
