Maybe because God destroyed two cities that were open to homosexuality (Saddam and Gamorah).

some Christians do not read their Bible well enough. The Bible says there is no one righteous and everyone is objects of wrath.

We all have things to work on, even if we have been dealing with. them since a baby, hence the term original sin. Just because something seems more natural to us does not mean it is right.

Plus God demands us to be holy but is the one who sacrificed so that all people can come to him. So obviously God then loves more than judges. In the letter of James it says that Mercy triumphs over judgement.

By the way who says we cannot have close friends of the same sex we love very much. Look at Oprah and Gayle or Jonathan and David.

There is nothing wrong with loving an other person of the same sex.
We should love everyone. It is have sex with someone of the same sex that is wrong. A man should not lay down with an other man. God loves everyone.
It is the intercourse that is not between a married man and women that the
Bible tell us God can't tolerate. When we were small children our parent told us not to play in the street we probably didn't understand why, but there was a good reason not too.

It's because of God's curse upon humanity. When he expelled Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden, he told them to be fruitful and multiply. Ever since then, people have done so, despite the fact that children are little monsters. What people have failed to realize is that God's statement was in fact not a blessing but a curse. His children had misbehaved in the garden and disappointed him, so he wanted people to suffer the same fate. He made sex feel good so that people wouldn't be able to stay away from it, and thus they would make children

God hates gays because these are people who found a loophole in the curse. They get the sex without the kids.

You make a good point. I also don't understand this concept. Gandhi said something that I find very relevent to this question:

"I love your Christ, but I do not love your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ."

I refuse to believe in a God or a Christ that condemns Gays. This attitude is often spewed by people who think that men and women CHOOSE to be gay, rather than being born that way.

Love is to be embraced and cherished. If two people are in love, we should be happy for them, gay or straight. I think God would feel the same way.

Show me anywhere in The New Testament, I'm to get a long and be chummy with gays?

You show me "specific" scripture.

I'll show you, where I'm to shun you and all like you.

I love ya my friend, I don't agree with your idea of God's theory He loves all people the same. He loves sinners. He loves all people. He loves His people. He loves like no other. He loves unconditionally. The scripture has 5 different "love" throughout it.

You are simply ignorant as to know what the meaning of the different types and where they are spoken and why.

It's not a big deal, a person can learn these things, when they seek Truth. Your not seeking Truth, you are seeking a Internet poll vote, to get people to agree on something.

you think a vote by populous, will override God's given word.?

Christians fuel so much hate in the World!
They cant think for themselves, so interpret things written in a book that came out 2000 years ago in a now obsolete language.
They'll all feel a bit silly on jugement day!

Til then - just show them that everyone else can get along without being so hateful to others!

Why? Because humans wrote the bible. Political Science tells us that the Jews began engaging in exclusive heterosexuality to distinguish themselves from the Greeks and Romans by their sexual practices. Then the Christians jumped on board.

My opinion. Which god are Christians referring to? They all must have different gods, otherwise there wouldn't be all these different faiths with varying rules of belief. What is their individual god's first name? When was this bible first written, or was it like the game 'telephone' — oral tradition (leaving a large area for personal conjecture, omission, exaggeration and the possibility of science fiction).

If there was one god, wouldn't there be agreement amongst all Christians? Seems they can't agree upon anything but hate. Politics & religion have always gone hand and hand. Always will. It's thinly disguised contempt for human life, cloaked with human interpretation of the bible. That's like how many different endings are there to the story of Henny Penny?

p.s. Those that hate gays, heterosexuals, bisexuals, different races, and claim to be religious, must somewere deep down believe that god makes mistakes. It undermines their omnipotent premise of god. I guess the question for Christians is "What would Jesus do?", since they believe in Jesus. Would Jesus go out of his way to express hate, oppression of is fellow human beings?

I am intact about my sexuality & and could care less what two consenting adults do to express 'I love you'. Some are not intact. Those that are so bitterly obsessed with gay oppression are mentally ill. Really, if you found out someone was obsessing about your lovelife & doing things to make your life hard, because they didn't approve of your mate, wouldn't you feel inclined to think that they need professional help? I would think so.

There are a lot of mentally ill people out there who commit murder by social oppression (be it to Blacks, Arabs, Gays, etc.), and go to church and feel correct because god told them to. Some serial killers seem to have this same problem — because god told them to.

No, God does not hate "Gays".

God does despise the sexual activities that homosexuals engage in, but He does not hate the sinners that do the engaging.

2Pe 3:9 The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance.

God is taking His time right now (but that could change at any moment) to gather in as many as would trust in Jesus for salvation. He loves everyone and wants ALL to repent and return to Him.

He wants us all to stop sinning and accept His free gift of salvation.

Rom 3:22 --that is, God's righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe, since there is no distinction.
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Joh 3:15 so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 "For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
Joh 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

I don't know why people think God is a bigot!! He created gay people for a reason, probably to deal with overpopulation! I think he would be more upset with people if they went against the way he made them!

Read Leviticus. Gays are despicable ppl. In the Bible, they are usually stoned to death. In modern world context, machine gunned publicly by Ak-47s and M-16s.
