Dark auburn-black will intnsify the paleness which will be ok but everyone is blonde so stand out be a little different -red is very in and a auburn is brown with red highlights or strawberry blonde is hot too look like blonde hair kissed by sunlight. If black is not your natural color then I'd stay away from it. Try the color that shampoos out in 6-8 washings first to make sure it looks good on you and that YOU like it for you're the one looking in the miror then you can always go to semi=permanent. Go for the colors that o not have as much peroxide and ammonia fo eventually dry your hair out. Check out HENNA-no ammonia and no peroxide will NOT damage hair-can get at health food store.

Usually whatever color she was born with looks best. For instance if she was born with light blond hair - dark hair would make her look washed out and not natural. If she had light brown hair - I would say she could go either way. I cant have my hair too dark because it washes my skin out - I was born a blond. Stick to your natural color and just kick it up with some highlights or low lights!!

Dark hair, definitely! Blonde would make you look like Casper.
And the sun is a good thing in moderation! Don't be afraid of it...unless you're a vampire!

That depends on if you are going for Goth (black and pale) or damsel in distress (blond and pale)

I agree with the answer that states that it depends on what you are going for--I am pale with blonde hair and it is the PERFECT "damsel-in-distress" look...lol :)

I think it's a personal thing...depends on your face, etc.....
I'm very pale and have tried both colors....my daughters say I am definitely a blond...
but, my youngest daughter, who is paler than I, looks prettiest as a redhead......
you can only try and see.....

Black ... doubtless, without a doubt.
Makes you look like a classic black and white picture. If you have blue eyes, then it makes you look like Kate Beckinsdale from Underworld/Evolution.
