We are all sick of backyard breeders here. Go and buy another puppy. It is easier.

Just because a dog is PUREBRED doesn't mean it's breeding quality.
Many PUREBRED dogs are nothing more than Pet Quality and shouldn't be bred.
Did the person you buy the puppy from have a contract that you neuter the puppy, not breed the puppy, or anything such as that?
Just because a dog is breedable "in tact" doesn't mean it HAS to be or NEEDS to be bred. 8 Months old shouldn't be bred anyway.
All too often congenital and hereditary defects won't even show up until after 1 year of age, "THEN WHAT?" Then you would have bred a litter of defective puppies. Most likely already sold them for more than they are worth, and probably not even under a guarantee.
Not intended to sound rude to you just trying to help you to see...

So do you want to use your dog as a stud? Or do you want to breed your dog to a female and then sell all the puppies but one?
First off, if you wanted to have a litter you should have gotten a female. But if you want puppies that bad, get a female and then have one litter. Then go get all your dogs fixed. However do do what I think you what to do, you can contact local breeders (or the breeder where you got your dog) to see if they are interested in using your dog as a stud. They'll pay you, and then you can use that money to buy one of the puppies once they are born. I'm sure you could work this out. It would be easier just to buy another puppy, but I guess if you can work out something with a local breeder, its all the same.
***Sexual Maturity for domestic dogs occurs at around 6 to 9 months, so I would wait before breeding you dog. He is still a puppy, and it may be best, if you were to breed him, to wait until he is older.***
Good Luck

have you ever considered the very incontrovertible certainty that you may want to take care of to lose your "fairly outstanding lady" in case you mate her? B1tches can & do die even as whelping, quite if their proprietor is eco-friendly. Breeding must be left to those who comprehend what they're doing. only "any male Shih Tzu" gained't do. recommend that you easy techniques to a minimum of spell your breed's call properly.
