This questions is open to everyone, however, I am most interested in finding out the purpose of life of those who don't accept Christ or believe in God. As a Christian, my purposed in life is to serve the Lord and live my life according to His word. It is also my purpose to find ways to be a blessing to others. The intent of this question is not to convert anyone into my way of thinking or stray from their beliefs. I view it as an opportunity to voice our opinions and learn from one another. Serious responses only please.

I am Atheist, and therefore don't have any religious affiliation. My purpose in life is to be one of the providers for my two little girls and to make sure that they are always protected from the freaks and wackos that are out there. My other purpose in life is to be as good of a husband as I can be, in the past I was an aggresive person and am in the process of trying to change that behavior as well as getting into college. I am trying to be a better all around person to anyone that I come in contact with, but that seems to be the hardest one for me because people judge me because I choose to have a couple of tatts and piercings along with a mohawk. So that kind of hinders making chit chat with just about anyone because of the conservative enviroment where I happen to live. In the past I attended church, and spoke with some Jehovah's Witnesses and I believe some Mormons too. I read about other religions that aren't big in my parts and found that the messages weren't really for me. So I decided that Atheism was the best thing for me, who knows maybe in the future I will decide on one but for now I am fine with the way things are.

I will put it this way, I don't fall into one of the religions you have listed. I think first that no one can answer with proof what their purpose is, also I think it is different for everyone. I think that part of it is experiencing all that you can, and your interactions with the world and the choices you make. Your life is what you make out of it and also how you view it. As far as my purpose, I think that maybe a bit limiting. I would think it would be more then just one thing-such as helping others, learning, teaching, sharing, comforting, loving, and giving are a few things.

Funny I often wonder what the purpose of life is, but I don't think my religious beliefs give me any insight on that. I know that I need to be a good person, do everything I can to help people, and I do as often as I can. But what is the true meaning of life? Why are we here? I guess the answer is different for every individual person. It's up to each person to find out what their purpose is. Maybe that's what we are here for, to find out what it is. I don't know but it is a good question.

I used to think that my purpose in life was to experience as much as possible. I believed that everybody had a specific purpose related to those in his or her life, and was here to learn something unique.

Then I became a Christian and realized that my purpose in life is to follow Jesus. I am God's servant, and so proud and thankful for that. I still believe that we learn and experience unique and personal things, but that's not the purpose of life, rather "side effects."

just like you as a Chritstian , I strive to be more Christ Like.Although it is very hard at times. Me doing God's will is a big part of my life to be sure that flesh doesn't get in the way. To those who don't know Christ, I don't know what there purpose is, but it is our purpose, to lead them to the Lord.

My purpose is to Love God. That was why He put us on this earth. Serve Him? Yeah, sure, that's a part of it, but service without Love is, well, not very good.

To worship god.

And I did not create the Jinn and mankind except to worship Me… (Quran, 51:56-58)
This means not only praying but all the other commandments giving in charity, being kind is all worship of god.

[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving. (Quran, 67:2)

which is why we don't see him... it would be like seeing the answer to a test.

To live a good life, helping others and the planet. Not taking more than what I need and trying to make life fair for all.

I'm agnostic. I live to simply live and deal with things as they come. It's a matter of dealing with what's in front of you instead of relying on a higher power to solve my present issues. So, to answer your question, my purpose in life is to exist - live and let live.
