You do not need to go on a mission.
You need to:
believe that Jesus Christ is your Savior and Redeemer.
believe that President Gordon B. Hinckley is a prophet, seer, and revelator, and the only person on the earth authorized to excercise all the priesthood keys.
believe that the other Apostles are prophets, seers, and revelators.
believe that your local church leaders are called of God and support them.
obey the word of wisdom.
be a full tithe payer.
attend all your church meetings, including Relief Society/Priesthood.
obey the law of chastity.
not be abusive to any family members.
be honest in your dealings with your fellow men.
not associate with any groups whose teachings do not agree (I can't remember the exact wording) with the Church. (They basically ask this to make sure you're not involved with some anti-Mormon group or anything like that.)
To do baptisms in the temple, you can do those right away with a recommend from the bishop. To get your endowments in the temple, you have to have been a member for one year, and get a recommend from your bishop and stake president.

i seriously doubt that you have to go on a mission or get married....thats nonsense but what i can tell you is that since i live in utah known as the mormon state that you should ask your bishop to get his okay on it, convert if you havent, be worthy to the Holy Ghost...or God. Try following your heart and do good things in life. Follow the Mormon life. Your family must pay 10% of your income to the church, you must have been converted for the minimum of one year, and follow the scriptures. other than this there is no other thing you can do. if you want you can contact me at my e mail address if any of you have any questions. i am glad to help.

I am a convert as well. You must wait a year and live riteously before you can accept your endowments. This involves following the word of wisdom, etc... you do not need to go on a mission to receive your temple endowments. Talk with your local missionaries or your bishop and visit www.lds.org :)

New members can do baptisms for the dead at the temples right after they join the church. To receive endowments, they are generally asked to wait at least year. You do not have to serve a mission. You do have to obey the commandments, have a testimony of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, the Gospel, and the Church. You can talk to the missionaries or the bishop for more details.

I was told that it takes a minimum of a year and approval from your church minister to be temple worthy. I've been in a mormon temple once but it was not because I was 'worthy'. It was a rebuilt temple that had not yet been blessed yet and had been opened for viewing.

You have to give a lot of money to the church, Go on a mission preaching polytheism to the masses, preach to the world that Joseph Smith and Brigham Young practiced polygamy because that is true Mormonism and other abominations before the Lord God. Then you can go to the Mormon temple.

You need to talk to your bishop. He can let you know if you are worthy and give you the rules and guidelines. Thats that they are there for. (you don't have to go on a mission to be temple worthy)

Sacrifice replaced into in basic terms one purpose of the classic temple. It replaced into additionally the region of the Holy of Holys. It replaced right into a place have been different rituals must be achieved. they had a laver; its purpose replaced into to attend to to pay for threat for the purification via immersion of the physique of the clergymen in everflowing living source Waters. at present is used for baptisms. After the resurrection the apostles met there on a daily basis to coach. A ingredient to the temple excluded Gentiles. So in some factors the temple is unchanged and in different methods it conforms to Christs teachings. that's the living house of the Lord.

Knowing what I know about LDS, I would not want to be apart of it.
It is not another testament of Jesus, it distorts the truth and makes the claim that if you are good enough you become god.
Jesus never taught that. The book of Mormon has no historical truth to it, in fact is has been proven wrong in its claim to history.
If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God then you need to study what Jesus did and his teachings. The Gospels, not the book of Mormon. Paul (who Mormons claim) said that if anyone preaches any other gospel other than the one already preached, let them be accrued.
Last time I checked the book of Mormon claims to be another gospel. Sorry but The one real Bible is good enough for me, I don't need a false one added to it.

I like Mormons. They are very good people. They just err in many places. There is no longer any need for a temple after Jesus came. The veil tearing when Jesus died is showing this plainly.
