You said 'my ex.'
Does this mean you left him over the affair with your cousin's best friend and now you are considering taking him back?
It is hard to move on, but you have to figure out if you are doing what it takes to move on? or are you pining for him?
If this is still pretty recent (like in the last six months or less), you are going to have to give yourself a break. I mean, a broken heart takes time (and it can take a loooooong time).
You were betrayed and it is going to be painful, but you have to be strong enough and love yourself enough to move on! And the fact that he betrayed you so 'close' to your home (your cousin's best friend...yikes) doesn't help at all. I mean it wouldn't hurt less if it were a complete stranger, but still, it was too close to home.
Make some tough decisions. Go out with 'the girls' and do activities that help you move on.
At the risk of letting on my age, go cruisin' for guys! Seriously. Hit some clubs and just scope out some guys and flirt. See how it feels to be single!

You should. If you stay together, you wont trust him and you'll be miserable. Plus, if you take him back, he might think that it means that its ok to cheat on you. You know the saying "once a cheater always a cheater". I don't know if it's entirely true, but it makes sense. And I know it's hard to get over someone you really care about but just consider this as a sign that there are better things for you in store.

Do you have any evidence that he's really changed? If not, then he probably wants to stay with you because it's more comfortable than being alone. It may be great for him but it's going to make you nuts because you'll never know what he's doing.

No. If he cheated on you once, and who knows how many other times, what are the chances he won't do it again?
