Kittens are like toddlers! They're babies, so everything is new, a game, a new toy, something new to get into, something new to taste -- and yes, everything goes right into the mouth!!! You should really be free-feeding them right now -- which means leave dry kitten food out for them at all times to eat when they're hungry. If you are feeding canned kitten food as well, just give that at regular mealtimes. Cats will generally eat until they're full and then stop, and they also like to be able to nibble throughout the day as the urge strikes.
Since they're active and into everything, it's time to kitten proof your house. Secure the trash, make sure anything poisonous (including plants) is securely put away where they absolutely cannot get to it. Strings, rubber bands, etc must be disposed of properly. Playing with string with a person is fine, but don't leave it out when playtime is over because if you eat it, you might end up with major intestinal surgery for the baby on the agenda. Things like the plastic string binding on newspapers is particularly appealing to them, for some reason.
You just have to follow trial and error in baby-proofing, but as to why they're doing what they're doing -- that's why.

Maybe YOU think you're feeding them enough food, but the kittens don't. Leave dry kitten chow out for the kittens so they can eat throughout the day and take the trash out.

lol trust me i had the same problem with a cat that i had. there was always plenty of food for him but whenever he knew we made chicken we would wake up to the trash knocked over and chicken bones all around the house. so everytime we would see him doing it we would spray some water on his face and a little spanking so he knows he did something wrong. just put your food in a plastic bag or ziploc bag so he doesnt smell something good.

Your kittens are dealing with undesirable 2's, notably lots. they'll improve out of it, yet for now i might propose attempting to make particular there are as many toys around at the same time as you flow away as obtainable. placed maximum the toys away once you're residing house after which deliver them out once you flow away. they are going to be extra into them because of the fact they'll look new. they desire issues that they are able to shred, which includes a scratch post or crammed animals. you will possibly desire to additionally kitten-information your place. placed twist-ties around the rest room paper roll so in the event that they bat at it, it won't flow everywhere. Take issues off of cabinets that would desire to cave in. conceal some treats throughout the room once you flow away so as that they are going to spend time searching for them. good success!!!

Put a lid on the trash can. The kittens are trying to satisfy their curiosity & they're learning to climb.

I know that Petco sells a product to keep cats from clawing the furniture, I would assume that the same type product could be used to keep them out of things.
