Well, first thing, and I'm sure this has crossed your mind (I hope so anyway). This isn't fair to the guy you're currently dating, and you can't keep Hunter on the back burner. If Hunter never felt the way about you that you felt about him after 6 years, then he probably never will. I don't know how old you are, and that would be key. If you're, say, in your mid to late 20s or older and have been dating since late teens or so, then maybe you're thinking marriage? Key detail. Sounds like you need to pursue what you have with your current boyfriend, especially since things have changed between you and Hunter. Just think, if you gamble and try to go back to Hunter, and it doesn't get any better, you end up with nothing.

well u got to first accept that u and hunter can only be friends. i know u miss and love hunter too. so just remember, u can only love hunter as a friend. u can only love ur bf as ur bf. but u must give priority to ur bf (in most cases) in order for u two to work.

I don't understand what's to let go of, if you two were never "involved" anyway. You say he doesn't feel the same about you, so put your energy into someone who obviously wants to be with you.
