So you just started, like your first one ever. For the first 15 years you should always wear pads. At the begining of your cycle you should always wear thick pads, and towards the end just pantie liners. You should also NOT wear thongs during your period.

Just a reminder, don't flush pads or tampons down the toilet.

If you need any more help email me at limited2_xoxo_girl@yahoo.com

Have a nice period!

It is a little nerve racking at first, but you'll get used to it in no time. You might want to keep an extra pad or tampon or both in a little make-up bag that you can leave in your locker at school for those emergency times. Keep one in your back pack or purse. If you keep it in another type of small bag that looks like a little make up bag, you can avoid all the embarrassing moments when it falls out of where ever it is(this is a guaranteed to happen thing, at least once.). You can just say "Oh, my make up" and grab it quick, and put it away. Then when you get my age, you wont care who the stink sees it, you won't need to bother disguising it any more, in fact you'll tuck it behind you ear or wear it on a necklace if that's the most convenient for you. Just kidding, but you get the idea:)

well............CONGRATULATIONS ! you have now entered a point of NO return :) This is a good thing ! So what help do you need ? i mean take a shower everyday. put extra protection like two pads on at night. if you are cramping don't take aspirin it will make you bleed more, take Tylenol instead. caffeine makes you cramp more..... if cramping take a nice walk it cures them away.... but most of all give into every craving you have :) you deserve it once a mth. hehehehe lol
its hard to answer this question for you becuz you did not get very detail on your call for help.... that strikes up another question................Where is your mom or big sis or aunt or the woman in your life to tell you all the tricks and trades about your period ?

Details on what? You need to ask a question before you can get an answer.

Are you saying you got your FIRST period? If so, they're no big deal and they're different for every woman. You might get moody before, you might not. You might get cramps (take ibuprofen-unless you're allergic-if you do). You might not. You might bleed for 2 days. You might bleed for 6.

But then it'll go away and in about a month you'll start all over again.

If you want to know about products, etc... you should ask a more specific question.

Shanna, don't worry. It's normal to feel afraid...but it is a part
of being a woman...it will usually last for 5 days and your flow
could be light, moderate or heavy...you will know if you have a
"heavy" flow... talk to your mom about this..and don't be afraid
of this very normal part of life...get an understanding of why a
woman has a period and what is going on within your body so
you will know exactly what is happening...Good Luck..and try
not to wear white pants or a huge pad that bulges out of your
shorts....you'll be fine.

Well, I'm not sure exactly what in all to tell you. But, there is a web site that helped me some. www.beinggirl.com. They have free samples of tampons & pads & lots of information & I'm sure if you have any questions that you can't find an answer to, you can ask away. I hope you figure everything out that you'd like to know.
