The week that she is on placebo's is a very fertile week for her, so there is a good chance that she could get pregnant during this time. If you are going to have sex while she's having her monthly, just use a condom.

If you're trying not to get pregnant, I would just say don't have sex during her period. It is very risky. She could try switching to seasonale birth control though, it has women continue to take the real pills for three months, so you only have a period 4 times a year. That way, you wouldn't have to hardly worry about it! Tell her to talk to her doctor about switching. I've been on it for 2 years and it works really well with my body and I never get sick or anything.

Just use a condom. That's all you need to 1. get protected from any diseases 2. avoid pregnancy 3. avoid the nastiness you feel when having sex with your girlfriend while on her period.
OR
Simply wait. Its as simple as that. Plus if you think so gross of your girlfriend having her period then I think you need to lay off the sex. There are a lot of things in sex that may seem gross if you're not mature enough to engage in sexual acts. And what do you mean blood should never be there? are you kidding me? It should be there every month unless you are a disfunctional woman who may have uterus cancer or some form of disease. Menstruation is something absolutely COMMON in a woman's life. Get used to it if you plan on sleeping with women.

A girl can get pregnant even if she is on the pill. There is NO SAFE SEX that can prevent pregnancy 100% and she and you need a baby like you need a hole in the head. Will you two not be stupid and forget having sex? If you don't the next letter you write will be "my g/f is pregnant, what do we do?"

the pill isn't always 100% effective I got pregnant with my daughter when I was taking the inert pills. But if she takes the pill exactally as directed ( same time everyday). There is little chance that she can get pregnant.

does she take her pill with in 5 minutes of the same time everyday?? If not then she can get pregnant. Irregardless of the time of month. You should still use condoms though. I know they suck but it's better to be safe then sorry

If she takes the pill regularly, then the risk is very very low.

She can get pregnant at any time under any circumstance. You should do her the courtesy of not putting her- or you - in such a risky situation.
