Are they just dead--nonexistent..or does their soul reincarnate into some other soul. Is there such a thing as a soul? Why do we have no recollection of past lives? That would make you think when we die, we are truly dead..in the sense that we don't interfere with others' aura.

Nice people go to Michigan. Bad people go to Iran. Really, REALLY bad people get reborn as the very lowest form of life--telemarketers.

I believe that our soul returns to the spiritual dimension (state of mind) at the death of the physical. There, we stay for awhile to rest and then we can make the decision to reincarnate, either as another being (human or non-human) or as the SAME life we just left, and can live it again. Time as we know it does not exist in the spiritual dimension.

We don't remember past lives (in most cases) because we are supposed to be focused on the present one, in order to fully experience it. The emotions and feelings of the past lives would be too much baggage to carry around.

death: definition The ceasing of all functions of life. After breathing ,heartbeat, brain activity stop, the life-force gradually ceases to function in body cells. Death is the opposite of life.
Was man created by God to die? No, Adam was warned that disobeidence would lead to death Psalm 90:10 Says that the usual human life span is 70 or 80 years. That was true when Moses wrote it, but it was not true in the beginning. Genesis 5: 3-32. Hebrews 9:27 say, "It is reserved for men to die once for all time Where are the dead? Genesis 3:19 "In the sweat of your face you will eat bread, until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.
What is the condition of the Dead? Ecclesiastes 9:5 The living are concious that they will die, but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all. Psalm 146:4 His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish. Ezekiel 18:4 The soul that is sinning it itself will die.
Normally, after a person stops breathing and the heartbeat ceases, it is several minutes before gradual cessation of the life-force in the body cells begins. If the body is subjected to severe cold, that process can be delayed for hours. For this reason, it is sometimes possible to revive persons by means of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. They were what is termed "clinically dead," but their body cells were alive. Many persons revived from "clinical death" remember nothing. Others report experiencing a floating sensation. Some say they saw beautiful things; others were terrified by their experience.

Good question - I have a website that covers that: but I will tell you this - Your soul goes to 1 of 2 resting places - Paradise or Hades - if God judges you worthy of Heaven then you will spend your time in Paradise until Judgment Day - if you don't go to Paradise - Hades is what I call pre Hell - there you will know what awaits you.

There are many different beliefs on that subject. Notice that I said BELIEFS, not 100% true absolute knowedge. No one really knows for sure no matter what they tell you. Myself, I follow a Buddhist path, so I feel my education will continue in some form.

I'd like to offer two pieces of advice here. First, don't let anyone convince you that you'll spend "Eternity in Hell" if you don't follow their religion. As a real world example, I like to compare that to a judge sentencing you to life in prison for jaywalking.

Second, concentrate on the "Here and Now" rather than the "Hereafter". Life can only take place in the present, let the future take care of itself. You'll be much happier. Peace...

i guess it all depends on what religion you are. some believe that there are different worlds which you must go through...such as mormons...others believe in only 2...hell or heaven...such as christians....some believe your body rest as peace and you can live another life after you have lived one...such as i believe. i think you go to Heaven if you believe in God, have been good to yourself, have been good to others, and try to do your part in life(which most find out later in life what they are here for and what role they play in life). or there is this.: if you are bad (sinning and so forth w/o saying sorry...or do not believe in the almighty lord) in some religions you get a second chance known as 'the waiting room' where Jesus comes and lets you have another chance in believing, or you just die and go to hell if you were not a believer. though i think that if you try your best and do all you can you may go to Heaven.

If you lived an evil life then you end up eternally trapped in a Super Target store. If you were good then you get to swim in rivers of chocolate and fly through the sky on marshmallow puppy dogs.

Death is just like sleep. Your body goes to grave. Soul will be taken by the Angels which will stay somewhere with a barrier not to cross. We all will be resurrected on the Judgement Day with new body which will be similar to our present body.

Depends what you choose to believe. You can, essentially, go where ever you want to believe you go once you die.

There are so many beliefs out there that the odds of picking the "correct" one are nill. In fact, the correct religion may have died off long ago or yet be invented, who knows. So, believe what you want and that is where you will go.

They go to sleep(Jesus said that) They wait in their grave until the return of Jesus. Don't believe those people that say otherwise. They will pay dearly for their ignorance and maybe causing you to do something at their word that would cause you to lose eternal life. Read the Bible. you can trust it. Don't listen to any man for what they think.
