The fact that someone gives you a number is not reason enough for you to call him. Be aware that given a phone number your address can be located. If you do call, you should be aware that you are also giving away a great deal of personal information.

Spend a little more time chatting online with him and if you're still interested then web cam with him...if that goes okay then give him your skjpe number...
If he's been a total jerk or you find out via web cam that he's misrepresented himself....give him the telephone number of your dad's cell or perhaps your brother's or anyone else that will tear him a new one. (of course you don't tell him that it's not yours) ;0)
P.S. Chatting with someone on line is fun...but play safe. You never give out identifying info about yourself. People are mostly good hearted souls but it's hard to tell the difference between them and the slime buckets...cuz the last I heard slime buckets still walked upright like the rest of us!

You know what? If he really likes you, he should make more effort. Been there, done that - yes, they have been genuine (ie not dirty old men), but lazy guys like this will expect you to put a whole lot more into any friendship/relationship than they ever will.
Oh and if you do, make sure you don't give any identifying or personal details eg your first name only is fine, but don't give your last name, landline or address (etc). And make sure you meet in public, in a safe, populated place.

okay so when I was 18 I met a man (who is now my husband) off the internet....I am now 22 and been married for a year...and My sister who met a man ( who is getting married next month) so it is all about if you trust him, talking to him on the phone....It doesn't always work out like me and my sister......but if you do decide to meet him, meet him in public, have pepper spray and a buddy system.....and always let someone know what you are wearing and going, I did....But ask for his number and block yours, that way if he is wacked you can not call him anymore....or call from a pay phone, like in walmart or somewhere.....other than that good luck....

If you really and truly wanted to talk to this person find a pay phone get the number set up a date to call there. Also have him pose with a news paper with current events to ensure he is sincere and who he says he is.. The pay phone is untraceable to you

I'll give a little twist to the events.
The next time he contacts me on the computer, I'll give him my number and wait if he calls.
Why would I spend money making calls anyway?
