whats a good jr. college for mechanics?

in the los angeles area which jr college has a good mechanics program? i was going to go to UTI but cant afford it even after grants and stuff....I would still have to get loans and i dont qualify for them and with no parents i dont have co signers but i really want to study mechanics and need a good school where i can get school paid for and get some help with cost of living. since jr college doesnt cost 26000 up front like UTI i though it would be a good idea but if you hjave any suggestions please feel free.........thanks

Go to a few of the auto repair shops in your city and ask the mechanics if they can recommend schools, and what are their thoughts on the junior colleges.
