I really love this guy so much and he knows about it but we're friends coz i aske him to stay this way since im not ready for the next step..anyways, i was wondering what should i give him on his b.day.he's turning 20.and .i want to surprise him and make him really happy by that gift+realize how much i love him but not desperate for his love!!

First of all, a gift when meant for someone special is beyond what the actual gift IS. It can either be a CD he likes, a watch or a card made by yourself or dedicating a song on the radio. Remember that what a gift really says is "I am thinking about you, and I care enough to get you something"
So, if you really like him and HE KNOWS you like him, you just need to figure out what could be more meaningful... I personally suggest a card, best if you make it yourself, and the rest will take care of itself.

Think about what means the absolute most to him (not emotion-wise) and get him something symbolic of it. For example, if he likes music a lot, buy (or better yet MAKE) a cd for him that has all of his favorite songs on it. If he is into sports, get him a heart-shaped football (if that's his fav) even if it is stuffed. Regardless, if you get him something that has some symbolic meaning to what he likes, he'll know that someone who cares for him AND is a great friend is the only person who would know these things about him, more then anyone else.

Giving something of yourself is easy. Go to the store buy some food he really likes and cook him a home cooked meal. You may not know this, but guys love this and serve the food with a heartfelt card and flowers. Happy b-day to your b/f

That is a very personal choice you want to make, be sure you are ready. There are lots of appropriate gifts for your friend other than yourself. Gift cards are always acceptable.

Do you have a nice picture of the two of you that you could put in a nice frame he can keep on his desk or in a place he'll see it often and think of you and your awesome friendship? It's not too forward but it does say how much you care. Just an idea.

look around and dont ask, more often then not you will find something in his room or in his life he likes a lot you know something like a car and just go from there. but when picking something out just be shure to take your time and pick something from the heart not just rush and spend money on a football jursey or something.
