Because it all the rage for any up and coming fascist dictatorship to do the goosestep. Look at Hitler, Stalin, even Chairman Mao’s army did the ‘Goose’. And just because they looked silly didn’t mean they weren’t feared or respected. Who knows maybe soon all the discotheques around the Middle East will be all abuzz about the new dance step, “The Goose”.

It is one of several similarities between the radical muslim and the nazi. The belief regarding Israel being chief among those similarities.
Probably because they think it looks "impressive" though most people just laugh at them.
