because my girlfrind got it. but she said she did not get on it for birth control

It is given to sex offender to eliminate their sex drive.
It had the same effect on me when I used it as a birth control. After only 2 weeks of being off of it I was pregnant. I therefore assumed that they only reason I didn't get pregnant sooner was because I didn't have sex LOL

DEPO PROVERA is a period stopper I had depo provera before I had an operation to stop my periods due to troubles I was having I also had it for a few mths after as well.

It is used as chemical castration for child molesters/rapists...
For women with really heavy periods, their doc can prescribe it to stop them (completely) but it can take a year or more after coming off it to become pregnant, if that's a concern for the woman...
