Natural heat from the sun is your only chance of lightening your hair without using a dye containing peroxide, lightening your hair using peroxide will cause any hair type a certain amount of damage, if you do decide to use dye and lighten it, go to a hair salon and get a professional to do it for you, doing it your self or getting a friend to help you is not a good idea as the chances are it will go drastically wrong for you, a professional will make sure your hair is done how you want it plus giving you good advice on how to take care of your hair, what conditioners to use and how often to go back to them to get your roots retouched, more expensive than doing it yourself but its a small price to pay for having your hair done how you want it. x

Put lemon in your hair and stay in the sun. This will naturally lighten your hair through the lemon juice. Just squirt it in your hair and let it stay there while in the sun. If you do go swimming, wait at least 30-45 minutes before jumping into the water. ~

U can use lemon juice or regular peroxide but be careful if U have dark hair. I would recommend a dye for dark hair. However if U have light brown or lighter hair the lemon juice or peroxide works great. All U do is put it in UR hair & sit in the sun. My son does it every summer.

If you boile some chamomile, and wash your hair with it it will lighten up the color but to like a light redish or carmel color..it is also good to strenghen your hair...
Other option would be pure Henna... you can by at any indian market or middle eastern market, just make sure that it does not contain any dye.... this will give you a deeper reddish color...

Lemon. Squeeze a couple of lemons into a bowl. If you want streaks then use a brush and let try till stiff. Blow dry for extra effect. Or use more lemons (even lemon extract in a bottle) and rinse your hair with it. Again, allow to dry or use a blow dryer for more effect. Then, rise to get the stickiness out. My son's hair went from dishwater blond to rich blond. He does this once a week.

Use lemon juice. It worked for me, made some loverly blond streaks. Mix it with some water, in a spray bottle, and saturate your hair, comb it in with a wide tooth comb. If you're looking for the chunky look, comb it into selected strips of hair. DO NOT use peroxide, you will end up with really ugly, brassy red streaks in your hair. :( (And it's very damaging unless mixed with a strong conditioner)

Sit in the sun. You can help it along with some lemon juice, or even more so with a little hydrogen peroxide.
