I am geeked now that it's fullblown blueberry season. Anyone else care??? I mean, I went to Costco and bought this huge container of bb's and am freezing them... Will go get another container. NEED_MORE_BLUEBERRIES!!!

Now that Stoli came out with the bb infused vodka, I'll have to make my own! Any good thoughts on how?

I was planning on putting bb's in vanilla vodka and letting it sit for a while.

WHOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!

I love all these blueberry fans!!!

Im a blueberry freak - each year I anticipate as blueberry season approaches! Then they start popping up in stores and you have to take full advantage of the availabily as well as great pricing.

Im happy to just eat them plain or drop them in cheerios! My favorite is blueberry pie. Im like the shrimp guy from Forrest Gump: blueberry muffins, blueberry shake, blueberry tea, blueberry pancakes, blueberry sundae, etc.

DONT YOU LOVE THAT STOLI COMMERCIAL? Its so fun but they waited to long for the blueberry version. The vanilla vodka is an interesting idea . You should still try the new one too!

Friends have told me they saw this or that in the store (sorbet was the last time) I match your enthusiasm and raise you two blueberries ! :D

You can make a fruit-infused Vodka quite easily. I would suggest filling a big jar with blueberries, then topping it all up with vodka. Leave it in the refrigerator for a week then taste the vodka. If it doesn't have a strong enough blueberry taste, mash up some of the berries. You could also add a bit of juice from some canned berries to make it sweeter and more blue. Use the vodka, some cranberry juice, lime juice, and triple sec to make fabulous blue cosmopolitans.

Blueberries and cherries are my favorite fruits. They Tie.
On the East Coast , we have had alot of rain this year and the
blueberries are huge, but I noticed that they weren't as sweet as
they usually are, someone told me that was due to the rain.
I just got some huge Cherries also , and they are real sweet.
When I buy blueberries, they do not last long enough to put them in a recipe, I eat them by the handfuls. Good eating , there.

Yum! Bought a big container yesterday - I keep snacking on them so they'll never make it into an actual recipe. Maybe over the weekend I'll make a cobbler. :)

Your idea with the vodka sounds fab to me, just be sure to strain it after a few weeks with cheese cloth.
