That's why it's called "life." If it didn't suck at times, it would be called "Happy Fun Time."

Seriously, what helps me is that tired old cliche, "One day at a time." It actually WORKS. I have been the KING of regretting the past, and trying to manipulate my future. It made me miserable, and literally drove me to DRINK.

Now, I try to just live in today, and adjust myself to how things ARE rather than try to manipulate people, places, things, events, and situations into being the way I think they SHOULD be. It's hard sometimes, my brain hasn't been trained that way. But when I do it, I find I am MUCH happier, I like myself more, and I enjoy life more. Hope this helps.

PS: Also, when I am feeling down, I take an ACTION, and the best action is to try to help someone else (without expecting a reward).
