Sometimes it's to freak them out, or just to get their attention. I was riding in a truck with about 6 of my buds..and my friend driving honked the horn as we passed a group of girls..they all jumped up and screamed..it was kinda funny :)

well my boyfriend actually asks me the same thing about girls.He finds it stupid because girls are always telling him he's cute,and honking and saying stupid things.I guess it goes both ways.
