I think the only way to really achieve that is to achieve a state of spiritual enlightenment so profound, that the mundane events of everyday life are simply no longer important.
There are but a very few people who have ever achieved this state. I believe Jesus was one of them, as were the other of God's messengers and prophets such as Buddha and Muhammed and the Dalai Lama.
One of the things that has helped me to figure out more about who I am though is a wonderful book (a series of books, actually), by Neale Donald Walsch. I hope you will try reading it.
Sending love, light and blessings to you!

I think figuring out who you are is a life-long process.Your ideas and goals will change as you grow. Lucky for me, after I graduated from college and started working, I loved my career. But, if you haven't been told, there is a thing called a quarter life crisis that hits between the ages of 21-25. Even though I loved my job I started having questions and concerns about getting married, having kids, buying house, etc. I just wasn't content! It took a few months but I finally moved past it. Here is something that I do that keeps me on track. Make a list of everything you want to do before you die: Places you want to go, skills you want to learn, things that deal with spirituality... everything you can think of. Once you have determined what you want out of life, you began moving toward those goals.

Know these:
* Some people may think less of you even when it is not true.
* Not everyone may agree with you.
* You must have patient and be tolerant of others.
* When fallen, learn to dust off, pick up and give it another go.
* You could chose to look at things with a fresh perspective and try a different approach.
* Communication is the key to understand.
* You are not alone and that some of your other friends may be in the same boat.
* There are people who cares about you, if you care to look.
* You must REALLY want to be happy to feel it.
* A smile is the human way to greet others.
Wish you well and best of luck.

When you can sit by yourself and sigh and feel happy with yourself. If you treat people with respect, learn from every situation, stay positive and remember to enjoy the journey, you'll figure out who you are.
As far as your career choice, it's your first job. I've had 10 since I graduated and now...finally, I feel like I've found the perfect job. Don't let it bother you. You'll find something you like...and if it's not this career...well that's okay. Don't rush anything...
How will you know when you've figured out who you are? You'll know...that's all...
Stay positive, smile and laugh often and eat your veggies and you'll be just fine. Good luck to you sweetie...

most of us never finish writing in the book that we entitle "our lives". i think life is an on going learning experience and the world is our school. some of us are lucky enough to get a better understanding of ourselves than others. in my experience, the people who have come the closest to figuring out the meaning of their lives and their purpose in it our those of an older age. i work with elderly patients (along with younger ones) and they have a greater sense of self. (good or bad!!) some patients have told me they've never achieved the goals they had set for themselves. the ones who had experienced heartache, failures, and death of a loved one, seem to have a depth to their souls that was remarkable to me. they knew who they were by "living" life. allowing life's downfalls to be their example to find happiness. they taught me to know true joy is to learn how to conquer life's hurts and hurdles. at the end of the rocky road happiness will be there waiting for those brave enough to go. i sometimes wonder what my "purpose" is. i ain't figured it out yet. i'm still waiting. you're 25. still very young. the perfect age to soak up life and add stories to your book of life.

When you do alot of soul searching & find the answer within. It took me til I was 35 to figure out some stuff. But I always knew I wanted to work with animals. That was all I knew. I had to search inside to find the other answers. Take time to reflect...there is strength and wisdom inside.

We're always growing, hopefully. Your sense of identity will emerge as you live as authentically as you can. When you live true to yourself you'll get to know who you are and where you want to go. It will come from deep within you as you listen to your heart. A heart connection is very important in life, and lack of it leads to emptiness and regret.

for me it was when i didnt feel out of place, i wasnt always worried about what others thought it was what i thought, if you feel you are not happy with your job maybe you need to go try something new if you think about it no one can ever take your education away so if you feel you want to go back to what you are doing now its always there for you maybe some self exploration is all you need. Good Luck !!

At 25 I was still questioning everything in my life - to some extent I still do. Age, experience, knowledge and just living have made me me. Do I still question - of course.. if you don't question you don't grow.

I believe I'm who I'm supposed to be when I'm who God intended for me to be. This means figuring out what my strengths and gifts are, then finding a career that uses them for God's glory.
