Well you see when me and my boyfriend first got together he would hold my hand and put his arm around me and all that. But lately he hasnt been doing really anything at all in public. I understand that he's shy, but what is so hard about holding my hand. Its only in oublic when he is like this. I feel like he is embarrassed of me.

Hunny i have the same problem and no matter how many times i complained he never listened. i know exactly how you feel and it sucks. Wanna know what i did??? When we were in public i just started holdinghis hand....what's he gonna do?...pull away and look mean lol. Nope he'll keep right on holding it. Dont bother trying to talk to him about it cause it never works....just do it yourself and eventually he'll get use to it and want to hold you hand...and if not then withhold when you're in private also lol...he'll learn soon enough. Come on...Show him who's boss ;)

Some people are not comfortable showing public affection. Time is usually what will change this. The longer he is your boyfriend the more comfortable he will get. He may then - but some people just never get there from here.

everyone feels different about pda(public display of affection), some people like to do it, others dont! if someone doesnt like to do it dont force it any more than it needs to! if you out just ask him if he wants to hold your hand if he says no than leave it at that! maybe when you first got together he did it all because he knew it was what you wanted and if he didnt do it that youwould be mad and he did it and it was ver uncomfortable but now that you've been together awhile he is comfortable with himself to do what he likes so his most comfortable thing to do is have no pda!
he isnt embaressed by you, if he was he wouldnt be seen anywhere in public with you at all! dont say that thats mean to say!

Tell him how it feels when he doesn't show affection in public and tell him about your concerns that he's ashamed of you. And ask him why he doesn't show affection for you in public -- if he's got a good reason (eg he's shy, etc) then you need to either try be understanding or (if it's really important to you) cut your losses and move on.

Try talking to him, if not you could always do what my friend did! Lmao, walk in the supermarket with him, ask him if he wants to buy something he would not usually, but when he says no....start throwing a tantrum and get on your hands an knees in the aisle screaming "But I want it...I want it" hahaha we still laugh about it today.

treat him that way at home only once and when he complains say you understand bc he is doing so to you in public. other than that ask him directly to be more affectionate for you, bc you want him & love him to be.

You say he used to show affection and now he won't? Ask him why...what has changed that he's now hesitant to show that he's fond of you publicly?
If he's truly not comfortable with it, you may not be able to convince him to change...but at least you'd know why...

Don't try to get anyone to do anything they don't feel comfortable doing. That is wrong.
