I would be really freaking disappointed if someone told me we were having dessert and then gave me banana bread!

Sounds good to me -- if you want to make it a little more cake-like without adding a sickening amount of fat & sugar, make a glaze of powdered sugar, small amount of milk & dash of vanilla. Pour the glaze over the banana bread while it's still warm. Slice & serve. Yum!

I also like the idea suggested by others of serving with vanilla ice cream -- even better if done a la mode while the bread is still warm.

I've had that just for dessert before. It's just sweet enough but not overly sweet like most desserts.
Like someone else said, put some vanilla ice cream with it and then I think maybe also drizzle some hot caramel sauce over it too. Or just eat it plain, it's still good to me.

I LOVE baking banana bread (best way to use up almost-going-bad bananas).

I would love it, with some of that Cool Whip French Vanilla whipped cream or some plain ol Ice Cream, or even Banana Flavored Ice Cream.

Maybe along with some vanilla ice cream so as not to overpower the banana bread.

Yes, please. Banana bread lovers would love to have this. I like a little butter on mine. Maybe try to dress it up a little, pour some bananas in some sauce over it. Bananas Foster?
Can a person make french toast with banana bread? Pour some banana sauce over that.

I love banana bread so I'd be super happy to have it for dessert. Heck, I'd be happy to have it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert.

Yum, topped with wipped cream and maybe some lightly toasted walnuts.

Or you could go all out and make walnut praline as a garnish.

I would like it! Adding some chocolate chips in it would make it more
"desserty". Also I would have some ice cream with it too. I think vanilla would taste good.
