The Bible never mentioned any thing about stem cell research but why do some Christians do not support the research and how did they come up with that kind of decision.

I personally don't agree with it. Question; is the president vetoing the research entirely, or just choosing to not spend our tax money on it? I believe it's the latter.
I wonder if all the people who hate President Bush for his veto are willing to fork over a few hundred dollars of their own cash to pay for the research at some private firm. And then complain to the firm when their 'investment' yields no return.

Some are, some are not. Some may have good reasons for opposing it, but unfortunately, the main reason Christians oppose stem cell research is the mistaken belief that a stem cell is the moral equivalent of a human being. That's very unfortunate, that such an important decision would be made on the basis of a clearly false belief. It's the same problem that the grassroots anti-abortionist has with respect to the abortion issue, which of course has left us with a terrible mess for so many years in that area.

Yes embryonic stem cell research, not adult stem cell research. Christians are against the former (embryonic) because it kills human embryos for the sake of research. God mandates in the Bible that we should rever and respect the sanctity of human life. Besides embryonic stem cell research has not acheived proven success while adult stem cell research has, which shows that it is even more abominable that we should allow this to continue. Embryos are human beings...look at the snowflake children!

As a Muslim I am very strongly for Stem Cell Research. Research and scientific development must go on without getting blocked in the name of religions.

Embryonic stems cell research kills babies
Adult stem cell research harms no one

Here is the kicker
MANY diseases have been treated with adult stem cells. They are proven to be a great asset
NOT ONE disease has been treated with embryonic stem cells. They have proven to be a bust

So tell me why are the liberals so bent on destroying babies for this research when it has been show to not work at all?

Many Christians are against embryonic stem cell research because it involves the destruction of embryos. I don't believe any Christians are against adult stem cell research, however.

It's not stem cell research we are against. It's the destruction of human embryos to harvest the stem cells that we are against. It's time for scientists to develop protocols for the use of adult stem cells and those from umbilical cord blood.

Christians are actually not against Stem cellular study. There are people who proffer the theory that Christians might somewhat see people die. it fairly is precisely the different. We have faith that each and every physique which a individual can and could be bodily is in the DNA upon theory. To paraphrase the fact made via God to Jeremiah the prophet. "earlier you have been shapened in the womb, I knew you and ordained you a prophet to the international locations." We have faith that even the technological know-how of DNA has shown this. If we ought to study DNA completely, i ought to tell a pregnant lady, real after theory, precisely what her infant will look like as though i grew to become into observing her photograph. i ought to tell her lots greater from DNA than a photo. i ought to tell her how her little lady or boy will walk and talk, the genuine coloration of her hair, wither or not she might do nicely to evade specific issues and activities from which she may well be predisposed to have a foul reaction. i ought to tell her Dozens or perhaps 1000's of issues approximately her infant. Now, i don't comprehend too many people observing a photo of a infant who will say kill it. How lots greater might desire to a individual sense that way that comprehend the flaws I in simple terms pronounced. person stem cells or twine blood stem cells, are those that are truthfully, generating outcomes. people lives have been saved via those Stem cells. Plus, there are new procedures of having cells to act comparable to embryonic stem cells that have been developed. We sense that there is in simple terms no reason to pass into Frankenstein mode and kill people who've already been conceived. so which you spot, even your question is defective and based upon the politics that we commonly pay attention in the information. I recommend which you pass to google and sort in those diverse varieties of stem cells, pronounced above and alter into recommended as to wither what i'm asserting is real. you will locate that i'm ideal on the subject of the stem cells.

I am a Christian and I am definitely against it.http://www.firstthings.com/ftissues/ft0201/articles/condic.html Read this article. This is nothing more than a false hope. I also do not believe in human beings no matter at what point or created by whom being used as parts and pieces. We are not autos. How far are we really as a humane country willing to go for our own selfish gain. Are we willing to have full term babies, dissect them for their organs. Oh I know while they are alive we can have them sitting there as a heart donor for a famous person, cut the famous persons heart out take the heart from the baby and yes we are cured. When do we say enough already. You have to die sometime, what are you afraid of?

I don't know. I'm a christian and if stem cell research can be used to help cure people of diseases, I okay with it. As long as it isn't used to hurt anyone.

What is interesting to me is it is not essential to eliminate the life to remove the stem cells. Scientists say it would be easier because the cells are more immature then when they removed them without eliminating the life. However, just because life dealt you a bad hand doesn't mean you have the right to eliminate an early stage of life to make yours potentially better.
