Put the kitten in a small room with her things (box, food, toys, etc) for the first couple days. She can come out a little each day, but watch her closely! By isolating her at first, she can get used to the new smells of both the humans and the dogs that she will live with. Most of all, be patient as they get to know each other, and reward everyone who "plays nicely" with yummy treats to encourage bonding.

Just give it time. I've had a dog for 6 years and have had many cat litters over the years too. Ultimately I have 5 cats now. But when the kittens started to come out exploring, they did the hissing routine too. Eventually they actually started co-existing just fine. Didn't take very long, maybe a couple of months.

Don't worry. The kitten will get used to the dog in no time. Right now the kitten see's your dog as this big smelly thing... but soon she will adjust. We've introduced kittens to our dogs over the years and never had any problems.

In time the cat and dogs will develop their own relationship. Dogs love to have their own cat. I think it gives them status in the dog community. Cats are indifferent about owning dogs. She will learn how to controll and outsmart them and then she will be fine with them. Just let her watch them for several days until she gets use to them.

yeah. It's all new. You don't have to intentionally sequester her--just give her a place to retreat to when she's scared. This is actually the best time to introduce her to dogs..since she's so young, she will come to accept dogs as part of the household. Mine has adjusted to many different dogs (both housemates and visiting ones) with little problem.

Fortunately, you brought home a kitten so she can grow up with the dogs. As she does, she will become more tolerant. The animals will work it out on their own. Eventually, they will become 1 happy family. Good luck!

Let nature take it's course....since it is a kitten, it will learn to grow and associate with your dogs. Mine did in due time.
